The Photo did not do the Blue Pit justice at all. It is wonderfully crusty. Really.

...and here I go hyping the DC again....just just did not fall over and
so could be taken out of the tent for decent photos. The BP came out
of the tent in pieces to be hung.

I am constantly taking clones, with all the new breeds.

I find that the lack of "seed vigor" of the Clonlys extends
to their clones as well.

Well, some have made rooting clones pretty well, Wet Dream
and Green Crack come to mind, and I have managed to
get a GDP too, but there are a few that are far from being cloned.
Here I am thinking of, for example, the Blue Dream Haze. It
shows its sativa dominance and seems to be fighting flowering.

The work continues.

Good stuff JD. I hope to be able to have that many plants some day!
I'm currently scrogging a c99 and a Blueberry in 3gallon hempy buckets. Hoping to strike it a little bigger this time round =P No journal though, no time.

I've got a question though...

I'm going to be very tight for harvest. I mean I'll have to leave for vacation very few days after harvest day.
Do any of you guys know of a "miraculous" way I can just set and forget these precious buds so they dry and cure without me being around for the whole summer?
I know I should have planned for these situations, but it's happening like this for unexpected reasons, so I couldn't really do much about it other than force flowering a little earlier...

I've heard about some drying or curing packs people put in jars and they do all the work without any hassle, but I really have no idea what they are or what they are called.

I don't need it to make my stuff the best dry and cure in the world. I really just want to save my harvest so I have smokeable buds when I come back in September...

Do you have a solution? Thoughts?

Thanks guys! Keep up the good work!

Well, I happened on a method as a teenager, by accident, that
will result in very dry buds but buds that will enjoy a proper cure.

I just hung them from the underside of the lid of a carboard box
and then taped the lid on. Over a few weeks they dried fully, but
not without curing rather nicely.

As an adult with access to the web and some $'s I would probably
invest in a C-Vault and some Boveda packs. Know that this
approach will still require that you dry your buds down, a few days
at bare minimum, before you vault them away. The Boveda packs
might be able to lower them further, but they are not at all design
to remove water in bulk quantities.

Good luck,

I still dry bud like this. SLOW dry like that sometimes, but I LIKE IT. Really is the best method still IMO. Anything else is kinda rushing.

Funny, I had a friend bring me seeds from these guys called Seedmakers.com. Cheap as dirt, but I planted them anyway. Did an outdoor run of their Critical, it was dense, resinous, potent and tasted like banana medicine/ banana sweeties. We had 3 girls and they all had the nana, but not the bad kind.

I really didn't dig it so I have been avoiding banana herb ever since. Everybody else REALLY liked it so I traded it out for good herb no hassle lol...

Fire!

I've got some Daybreak going in the veg tent right now.. First taste of teh Gage green.

Are those Salvador x Mendo Montage seeds still available?
Well you chose an insane one to start with mate. That is going to be hard to top. Prepare to have your tolerance raised ;)

The SAL x MM was a test run, not too sure if they are going to drop them at all but man, she is a looker of note. One of the most tricky plants I have ever grown, vigor is over the top, she grows HUGE. Punished me and taught me a few lessons, but I will tame her on the next run...

If they drop I will let fellas know for sure!

I read a bit on it Z. It was funny because someone on ICMag was
ripping it, and Dinafem in general, but the info was interesting. :0)

Apparently they "ripped off" some other developer.....see this was a
breed made by Chemdog himself along with the Dinafem people.
....but apparently they used some (Was it Gage, or Bohdi...?) other
breed in the mix to revive the line.

I do recall that it was a Mango breed.

This makes me think Somango.

This means strong flavor.

The smell, so far, supports this, and it is still hanging, damp.

LOL, the Blue Put smell like wet canvas or something. Not agreeable
but not pungent. I got something like a mint-fuel that I think will grow.

Take care,

P.S. It was "Guava Chem".

They ripped on Dinafem with "All these posts are only because
of the Attitude Freebies". I had to LOL and think "Yup".

But their Cheese seems to be doing pretty well as well. We will see.

Oh, here it is:

Guava Chem (or GuayabaChem in spanish) is "the Guava StarDawg cut" by JJ-NYC of Top Dawg.
