Looking good JD!
Did I miss something...job?
Did I miss something...job?
I wish I had taken clones, but thought a reveg instead. I burned it and over trimmed it.Pulling early to avoid the couch lock is wise....CBN == drowsy
Very sorry to hear about the re-veg loss. This is an area that I am
still learning. (I fight hard for clones of everything, but I can, and
you would if you could)
I think that if you found that one you like as a clone at a dispensary (correct?)
then that would be the best place to start.
I bet that you could have gotten the name of the grower when you bought
it and there is a chance they still might know. (I was researching those
Mota Rebel breeds up-thread when I found a page where when someone
asked about one of the MR breeds someone else responded with the name
of the Team-Mota-Rebel grower that made that breed) You might get lucky.
As to the Job thing, I was turning to my job search. I got a phone interview
next week now and am "relaxing"now. ;0)

Cloners rock when they're in a certain (water) temp range. Too cold and they take longer, too warm and you end up with slime/shit. If I'm in the 70-75F water range I'm good for 2 weeks and they root within that, then change the water to avoid any chance of slime, pretty well guaranteed to root any strain I'm running in 2 weeks. Gotta figure out a way to maintain that 70-75F range consistently. It's easier for me in winter as the cloner sits beside the furnace and maintains that range. In summer it's sitting beside the air conditioner which keeps the basement very cool, extends my rooting up to 3-4 weeks with some cuts. I run mine 24/7 just because I had a couple of those very expensive aero timers crap out on me so I don't trust them.I really get a kick out of water cloners.
If it is not so hot that I am getting slimy water, then I find that I can
get roots from pretty much anything, in time.
Case in point, I flowered an HSO OG Kush without a viable clone,
and I was not thinking to try revegging this one (not worth that IMHO)
so I just took a stick during the harvest:

Yes, it is not much, but it is more than enough to make a good start.
I am not even going to grow this out, but it does allow me to give it to
my genetics saving buddy.

Same here for winter time and colder weather. Pump heated water and caused issues unless I added ice all the time, the 1 on 4-5min off made a big difference in summer for meCloners rock when they're in a certain (water) temp range. We seem to have the opposite issue, I'm too cold in summer and can get too hot in winter sometimes. Just the environment for me being in the basement beside my HVAC. For summers I'm thinking of building a small Styrofoam cabinet/container to sit the cloner in and keep the temps from getting too cold. For winter it seems to work Ok if I sit the res right on the concrete floor as the floor stays cold.Same here for winter time and colder weather. Crazy thing is the timer I bought was $14 on ebay 5-6 yrs ago and never failed, but lost it in the move and cant find that brand now and most are $50 and up now so havent bought a new one.We seem to have the opposite issue, I'm too cold in summer and can get too hot in winter sometimes. I tried a couple of those 1/4 cycle timers but both left me scrambling for cuts off my flowering plants. Have yet to lose a pump but the timers went off and never came back on again when they f'd up #$%! Could be just shit luck but the pump 24/7 hasn't been bad and more reliable.
High humidity there?I get Clone Kings.....at about $70 I think that I would have a hard time
making a 25 site cloner for less....I do the math and get to at least $40
or so.
I agree on the temp range Gro....I am just in a coastal desert and it is in
that range most of the year. LOL
The Summer will have about 3-4 weeks where it is miserable....for plants
and humans, but it is livable.
