Good morning all.

I took some shots of the garden yesterday.

(all apologies to those having hard weather :0)

OK, this just sucks....I am struggling to upload photos!

I give up....no shots of the mushroom fruiting chambers
or the new King Oysters popping....fuck!

Here is what I managed.

I wanted to report that putting the small clones into the tent
has stimulated the Jake's Dream to show sex, I think.

Well, this morning the tops are beginning to look like buds...
....and when they get to this point, I really ought to be seeing
anthers too.

LOL, yeah, the graemlin system at The Shroomery has so many
emoticons that I miss.

:homerdrool: is one that I missed enough to start using
<Homer Drool Noise> around here.

I am in Sunny So Cal. The weather is the only reason to stay.

Thanks TC. I appreciate the good word.

I wanted to post that I just had the first properly cured sample of
the Lemon Thai Kush. Just a small toke to check the Lemon.

I have to admit that the taste that I think that they are calling Lemon
is not very strong, with or without smoking it.

The buds were very pretty, as you saw, but they did not firm up much
as all and the result has no bag appeal.

This one is not a keeper.

WhereTF are my bubble bags! :0)

Awe that makes me sad, I suppose I can only hope my LTK turns out different. Mines looking like it may not be very dense, but it has a nice smell at the moment.

I keep saying this, over and over: Add lacto B from the get go in your teas. IF it goes anaerobic, GREAT the lacto bacteria LOVE that. They will go about dominating all other bacteria, but leave your fungi and protozoa alone. In bacteria vs bacteria, you want your lactic acid bacteria to be boss. Best of both scenarios, aerobes and anaerobes in perfect harmony. I use a half-gallon culture per week, but it gets used in many places for many reasons. This is the killer thing about harvesting them from your home, you don't get more indigenous than THAT.

And JD, agitating your water when it comes to slime is a GREAT idea. Remember slime is a bunch of single cells stuck together. Agitating them breaks them up. The organisms are still there but they don't clog your system. My old man ran a few water purification plants... My reservoirs have strong sub pumps sitting in the bottom, just circulating water permanently.

Fill a plastic container (needs to have a lid) about half full with rice wash (solution left after washing rice with water). Make sure not to fill the container more than 50-75% with rice wash, you need the air gap in there. Loosely cover the container with the lid, and set somewhere quiet and out of direct sunlight for about a week. The rice will ferment and Lacto B will start to gather in the rice wash. You will get a thin film of rice bran floating on the top of the liquid. Strain this off and keep just the liquid. This liquid will have Lacto B as well as numerous other microbes. To get a pure Lacto B culture, combine this liquid with 10 parts milk in another container and let ferment for another 5-7 days. The carbs, proteins and fats will coagulate and float on top of a yellowish liquid. This yellowish liquid is your Lacto B culture, strain off the carbs, proteins and fats (these can be added to your compost). You need to dilute the culture with water at a ratio of 1 part culture to 20 parts un-chlorinated water. This is your dilute Lacto B serum. Use 2-4 tablespoons of the dilute Lacto B serum per gallon of un-chlorinated water and use a plant spray or in the soil. This will help fortify microbes in the soil and on the leaf surfaces. This spray is also a very good defense against PM, killing it virtually overnight!

Can it be brown basmatti rice?

White rice brings my blood sugar up, and I just prefer brown now, and the basmatti is really good rice.
I eat Indian food sometimes, and decided to stick with it.
