they sit under my cloning area here as you can see..

about 6" of wet perlite in the bottom.

the strains here are "Z" and "Nexus"

the jar that is still colonizing is "B+"

this has 2 42watt 2700k cfl's above it once in a while is that ok?? right spectrum?

yes dunked.. not rolled. I was told that I didn't need to get the vermiculite. was that incorrect? do I need to get it and dunk them again?

no you dont have to.... but I belive it does give it some extra umph.. when it comes to pinning/fruiting..

but for now i would finish the first flush as is.. then dunk and roll after second flush. it is common practice to roll before first flush though. which is why i asked.

wrong spectrum. although i dont know anough about the effects of spectrum to say it wont work, i have read that 5000-6500 kelvin range is best. although your wattage is more than sufficient for that many cakes. I commonly use about 13 watts of daylight spectrum/ 6500k for a tank a little bigger than that.

From a fully colonized jar I usually see pins within 1 to 2 weeks in fruiting chamber. I have read of people seeing them in just a couple days in the fruiting chamber though.

Yes it does smell different.. smells similar to mushrooms that are dry. Temps get down to 60. Get up around 70 at the highest.

well if it smells like mushrooms thats fine. its when it smells rank you gotta chunk em. the low temps around 60 could slow it down possibly but i dont think that 60 is really all that low... i live in very warm place so i dont really have problems with low temps. hows you air exchange?

I open it to fan and mist every few hours. It's open under a 65 watt 6500k cfl for about 4 hours at night. It's also open without direct light for a couple hours in the morning with regular misting and fanning whenever its open.
