Update. Day 56 from seed. Day 17 flower.

All are looking well and healthy. Numbers 2,3,4 are almost identical in height (few inches diff max) and look pretty similiar. Number 1 is about 6-8" shorter, but seems to bush more. I am happy with the progress. Only get's better from here. Stay tuned....

Short veg how much you think you might get from these? I'm real excited to hear how this comes out i'm intrigued by the jesus og so far... what's she smell like? hoping these are available for order on 4/20... wondering how many other new strains might be out then too

Ya it was a short veg, but being in 1 g bags I think that was fine. Looking healthy is the most important thing to me and they look the part. Smells aren't abundant really yet, that said I haven't ran into too many TGA strains that didn't smell, so I'm sure they are coming. Yield I can't really say as I really don't flower in this small of a container, but 1 per gallon would be my gage of how good of a yielder it would be. That said yield isn't what I am out for, I like super crystally stanky danky. In my selection resin, unique smell/taste, structure, and high (not in that order) come before yield.

If I get some super potent resiny bad ass smelling weed at the end I am a happy camper. If I find that winner I'll figure out a way to make her yield. This is just the first run, the ones that make it for more rounds will get further tested (run more rounds with diff methods) to dial them in and do them in bigger pots for final selections.

If all comes out well (which I fully expect) I actually like this method better. It helps me cut down on space and weed out the ones I want to let go of first before running them in full runs. Hovering was doing it with success and it seemed like the logical thing to do as it will stress test them as well being in such a small pot.

U always short veg on seed..clones do better..maybe it's tha rush..but. ..TGA clones do better..me personally..I don't good with seeds..but I can clone a tree stump...And my clones always are better than seed..

Update. Day 66 from seed. Day 27 12/12.

Progress is coming along. They are looking good and healthy. Stretched a bit since last update. Plants range from 31" (1) to 36" (3) from the soil. Some smells are coming about on number 2 and number 3. They both have a lemon menthol smell. It's a very pleasing smell. The other two I haven't had anything I could say yet definitively. We are now starting to get into the good part of this grow. Enough jabber, here's some pictures of em' to let you see for yourself.

36in in 1gal is not too shabby. Thinking you got some JTR dom, but I've never seen the Hell's Angel.

Damn that's some serious stretch on those girls.

Yup that's some big stretch... would you say that stretch is likely due to environmental (needing more light/temp differential at night) or the genetics?

I mean I have 5 strains in the same room with the same conditions/enviroment and definitely think it's mostly the genetics. Sometimes when testing you get stretchy plants and sometimes they barely stretch.

It's a fine line when running new genetics. You don't want to tie em back and keep em low and have em not stretch at all.

For example the pheno I am still running of Harley X (in the same conditions/room) for example doesn't like to stretch at all and just wants to stay low and branch out with real tight nodes. I have to grow her big and give her extra long veg and even then she stays low.

Once I know that a plant likes to stretch like that I just know I am gonna have to top/train/tie down next round.

Nothing I can't remedy after a few runs.

I just want to see them fill in nicely get some serious resin and loud smells and I will be happy round 1.

No judgement, I'm sure it's the jamaican sativa heritage... if it brings the sativa it'll be worth it just curious what you thought the stretch was from. Actually makes me wanna run the jesus even more good to know

To me it looks like your typical OG 'balls on a string' type of structure. Probably far from the typical OG in other ways, however. But all of them look really uniform! Looks great so far T Ray!

I'm kind of expecting the same from mine, just from the looks of it I can tell they will all have that OG stretch. I will see here in a few days, got 6 girls out of the 10.

Is it possible to keep the OG Stretch under control with extra pinching, extra topping, or mainlining?

Update. Day 73 from seed. Day 34 12/12.


Everything is looking good and healthy. Frost is coming, stretch is over, and they are starting to fill in. I am really liking the menthol lemony lime smell I am getting from number's 2 and 3. 1 and 4 don't have a pronounced enough smell for me to give something I can describe yet.

@Madcityblazer- The simple answer is yes. I haven't grown out a lot of OG's, but I have grown many sat dominate strains that like to stretch and they can def be tamed with some topping/training/lst/supercropping as well as maintaining a good consistent environment.

I'm not exactly sure yet. They haven't even started to color up yet so they still have a bit to go before I start checking the trich's, but I'm guessing somewhere in the 8-10 (60-70ish days) week window. Only time will tell.

Update day 80 from seed. Day 41 12/12.


Another week by and more filling in and resin. Smells still really strong on 2 and 3. A Lemonlime menthol fuel smell that gets stronger each week. 1 and 4 still light in the scent department. Everything is progressing along nicely. I am happy with the progress of these ladies.

2 is stacking on the resin and is killing it in the smell department,3 isn't far behind, and 1 and 4 aren't quite as resinous and lack a strong smell at this point.
