Do you like these? And has anyone cloned using them? When i clone i was just wondering how much light should i have on them until the roots take effect? And my second question is when and how long should i move them into my veg area? Thanks.

ive never cloned with them, but i use the jiffy pellet seed starter greenhouses to germ my seeds. some people say not to use them, but they are just so damn convenient and easy. as i said, never cloned with them, but i dont see why they wouldnt work; i have heard that rockwool is better for cloning tho.

i have used jiffy pellets once and had a problem with them being too wet.... they worked but not as well as the rockwool. it seems like rockwool keeps the temp better than the jiffy pellets.

I just bought some- I normally clone in coir, but I will put a few cuttings and see how they do. I think really, no different to coir. Soak them, squeeze them, use them. I use a propagation light 24/24, but for 2-3 days I shade the dome with A4 paper. I move them when the roots are bursting out.

I love them. I've had better success with them (from seeds) than anything else. I haven't tried putting cuttings in them; I might try that as soon as I grow something else to cut. I'll be moving in a few weeks so I'm not doing another grow right now.

Just dont oversoak them. Soak them long enough until the puck completely expands then immediately drain excess. They work like a charm for me. Ive used them to clone and start beans.

No longer using them though.

18-24 hour lighting from a fluro will root your clones just fine.

Move them into your veg area once a few roots show from the sides/bottom.

Thats what I started cloning w/ and have continued using them since i've had nothing but success. But remember to get the excess water out before you put in your cutting.

i use these for cloning as well. nice that you can get them in almost any town.. walmart, homedepot all they stores got them but they trays they come in aren't really tall enough to put clones in, they are great for seedlings since as soon as they sprout no need to be in the dome. but the dome is tooooo short. i built mine another 2" taller with ducktape... then i bought a clone dome from HTGsupply. haha.

but yeah soak, squeeze then poke a hole down the middle with a wire or something for your cutting. mine were pretty hard and didn't wanna kink the stem.

i made my own dome from a translucent rubermade thing flipped upside down. it's about 10 or 11 inches deep so i have plenty of room.

I got a large cake from the grocery store and drilled holes in the bottom and top on the sides works like a charm for clones.. I love my peat pots 100 precent
