Betraying Progressives, DNC Platform Backs Fracking, TPP, and Israel OccupationDuring a 9-hour meeting in St. Louis, Missouri on Friday, members of the DNC's platform drafting committee voted down a number of measures proposed by Bernie Sanders surrogates that would have come out against the contentious Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP), fracking, and the Israeli occupation of Palestine. At the same time, proposals to support a carbon tax, Single Payer healthcare, and a $15 minimum wage tied to inflation were also disregarded.

Medea Benjamin is a phony. A friend once asked her in an interview if she was such a peacenik how she could reconcile using force to push her views on other people.

Her answer was very revealing, "maybe my government will be bigger than yours". She wants to hold the gun, and use it for her purposes, rather than get rid of it.

Huge Pentagon cuts. Then the graduates will also have more cash to spend instead of making payments, so it will drive aggregate demand, boosting the economy.

Pentagon cuts do not reduce debt. They might reduce the deficit but you just said that your new favorite politician has plans to spend that winfall on college tuition debt rather than lower taxes. LOL!!!
