I live somewhere near the middle of Michigan and a local med shop supposedly has Jilly Bean by Tga as a clone... and I'm thinking psh ya right???
Whats your thoughts could it really be the real jillybean??? Alas I didn't but it as I really don't have the room for it at the moment but you know how clones are one minute their there and the next they gone!!! So should I go snag em up? Jilly bean is 20$ a piece for about an 8 inch clone thats mostly rooted in a solo cup, is it worth it?

Why wouldn't it be Jillybean? To my knowledge that isn't a rare strain.

Clones can be great, or devastating. By devastating I mean some cyborg bug that you could be battling for the next 6 months has hitched a ride in to your garden on that clone. I wouldn't at all be concerned about the $20, but if you pull the trigger on it I would treat the thing as though it has bugs, and quarantine/treat it for a week or so in a completely seperate room from your garden.

I always bring a scope in to look for myself.
I'm not sure if all dispensaries will allow it, but then I wouldn't purchase any.

jillybean is available at pretty much every reputable seedbank so its not that hard to believe its real.

well fair enough, i just didn't think it was that common I still don't think I'll be picking it up, as I have no quARANTEEN room. but is it a strain thats worth grabbing as a clone?

That would depend on your preference.

Its not the strongest smoke but it is very tasty and has a very uplifting high.

I grew it for a while. Very easy plant to work with, excellent orange creamsicle smell, generous yield, etc. My only complaint was that it lacked in potency a bit. All in all a nice strain though.

I'd take a gtd female jilly bean for $20 in a minute, then treat as stOw described. An outdoor jilly bean clone brought in my one and only case of mites. As for the smoke, as described, it's enjoyable on many levels, mostly taste and yield. I have avg potency, and above avg. The thing for me, though, is I don't need every bud in the cupboard to be super potent. Does anyone w/o mega health problems need to stay blasted all day? Sometimes, I just enjoy smoking a tasty joint to the end w/o giving up the next 3 hours.

Very true Amos. I don't want to walk around wrecked all day, and a strain that isn't super potent but has a nice effect is just as welcome in my garden as any other. The problem is my obsession with trying new strains. When I find a nice new variety it's usually the "not super potent" strain that gets the boot to make room.

I see your point I just don't think I'll take the risk right now, I'm looking to move houseing in a few weeks and have seeds on the way from attitude's birthday specialy... so needless to say I'm not really lacking on strains to grow right now. I think I'll let that mite infested plant stay at the store, if I see it again I once I move I'll probabily end up picking it up. Thanks for the advice guys

why not just buy a pack of jilly bean beans, that way you don't have to worry about spider mites or pm or the clone actually being og kush, only labeled as jilly bean?

There are plenty of distributors of TGA genetics in Michigan. Its probably a real cut. I wouldnt worry bout the genetics, just the baddies on the plants themselves.
