JINXPROOF genetics

I wonder if the smoke will make up for it though?
My 9lb was just hair and air and taste okay like frankincense terps.

The ShangriLa is pure grapefruit flavor so I like that. I think I'm going to press most of the plant into rosin this time on day 6 of the dry. I like growing the ShangriLa during veg because she is hardy as heck but I don't like her in flower because she is all leaf.

sorry to hear that, my 9lb punch and hammer came out mostly males . I’m using a mother tongue male to pollinate a bunch of stuff because I like mother tongue and the male was super hardy and tight node.

in jinx defense it was below freezing temperatures here so ideal temps have not been met at all yet. Soon though spring has finally arrived for us.

oh and my stoned ass rambling on, I was wondering what temp you press the fresh dry at? I’m new to pressing and I don’t seem to do a great job.

That's too bad about your 9lb. I had the opposite of that. Out of one 6pack I had 3 keepers that put out some super skunky berry and a HEAVY nightime indica. Gotta make sure that humidity is in check when they start to stack and get dense... Picked up a few packs of Hell on Wheels to try that flavor out. I plan to pop both packs and search for a winner. I expect nothing but chron to come out.. I have nothing negative to say at all about Jinxproofs genetics, I've only had good luck... he also runs an Autism Charity w/his wife that buys expensive ass i-pads & software for non-vocal children w/autism...w/ that said overall I have to support Jinx 100%

I bought a pack of TGA/Jinxproof "Mother Tongue" seeds years ago and ran them all...None of them were anything to write home about...mediocre at best.
I have heard mixed reviews about some of TGA's/subcools late work. As he got sicker and sicker there were people doing alot of the work for him. RIP Subcool... but I refuse to look at maybe his later, maybe more mediocre work as his legacy or a stain. Sub taught us all about super soil and what West Coast Cali outlaw swag is all about. He did great things for cannabis as a whole.

I only have had one run with 9lb and it was killer smoke so heavy of an indica my friends and I wouldn’t smoke it unless we were ready to call it a night no joke
Jinxproof is an awesome dude too with the autism charity’s and such that hits close to home with family being on the spectrum so I’ve always respected and liked jinxproofs work too

Sub taught me all I know about growing to be honest
RIP Subcool I miss ya buddy
Before the fire were the golden days circa maybe 2011-2014 ish?
Back in the HOTF/HNW/Jinxproof collaboration days ya know?

Even if Badger and Joel did a lot of work for him at the end, I still respect all Subcool worked on over the years but I do especially cherish all the old original TGA strains like JTR, Querkle, Vortex, etc

Well, my choice of available seeds at the time, was Mother Tongue and Shangri-La. I decided on the Mother Tongue. (I will say, that I also ran a bag seed in a bud of Vortex that I had one time. That plant turned out with some interesting flavors.) I don't know enough about what was early or later work. Like I say, the Mother Tongue was the only thing available. I had no idea who Jinxproof was or what TGA Subcool even meant at the time. I'm not criticizing the man. I'm just reporting my experience with one of the strains that Jinxproof was involved with. I saw the name on this thread and recognized it from that pack of seeds I ran.

9Lb Punch...

I took a cut to sex the plant and grew her to term.

Might be one of the best smokes Ive ever grown. Smells of Grape/Fruit and Gas. Frosty AF. And hits hard. Love it.

Got momma under flower now and several more clones in the veg tent

And I almost chose to never grow this strain (too much PP in every strain) but some other growers claimed it was a slow grower and I wanted to see. Easily one of the strongest and fastest plants I've had in 4 years of growing.

how’s the smoke report?
ok... took her out for an early morning toke with my dog on a hike this morning.

I get grapefruit/grape flavors. Nice. Tasty.
Definitely stoney... feels hybrid - not sleepy - not a punch in the face... but more quiet and contemplative type of stone. I do have a headband effect going so I like that too...

She definately tastes way better this week (6 wk cure) compared to last week...

Overall, gorgeous to grow. Looks awesome cured. A 7.5/10 smoke...

Cheers brother!! I need to get my hands on some old TGA beans 4 sure. Pretty amazing to see Subcools crosses still in seed form from alot of today's breeders. His legacy still lives on to the fullest.

Yup don’t forget @Genetic Supply they have some TGA original strains under the producers overstock menu right now but they are out of Vortex and JTR currently but to my knowledge what they have is all that is available and no more are being produced sadly…

Let alone all the crosses they carry with Space Dude, JTR, and Querkle males…

And they carry badgers batch gear and he still makes Chernobyl, Cuvee f2, JTR, Qrazy Train, Queen Anne’s Revenge, plus a couple crosses with Querkle in them too!

Subcool was a genuinely good dude not only an amazing grower and I will always keep a few of his strains running in my garden and most of them that I cannnot get more of I will be making F2’s out of to make sure I don’t lose access to such amazing strains

Hemp depot also has a few packs of TGA stuff listed up on there as well if you don’t mind dealing with customs and all that jazz

Occasionally also on strainly is a pack or two of TGA gear but most have been bought up by now since sub passed.

Yup, all the Vortex is gone. I’m glad I got a few lol I got a bunch of young seedlings going now too. Genetic Supply is where it’s at

Yeah I got a few of those last packs that were on the site too luckily in the nick of time

Now I am only missing a few strains off the producer’s overstock originals menu and it’s time to F2 each original TGA strain I have so I never run out and have beans to share with friends plus I plan keeping cuts of multiple originals going in the garden too

Gonna have to expand to do all of that at once but I do have a guest room I may convert to a flower room in some time
