jitters from smoking ?

So last night I was smoking again, but something quite strange happened. After a few minutes I got all jittery and uncomfortable. Never happened to me before... even now, after 10 hrs I can feel the nerves in my legs and hands.
Was doing some googling, and apparently it's not that uncommon.

I thought that this must be a combination of something and the weed ?
Maybe the medication that I am taking ? I took one just before smoking.. however I don't think this would have any contradictions. I also had a decaf coffee before.. or was it just the particular strain that caused this ?

Anyone can relate to this ?

you mean like my body is not used to it ? I don't smoke every day, but I am also not a newbie... and as mentioned, this never happened before, and wasn't really comfortable, so I am trying to find out the reason behind it.
Could be cause you don't smoke that often....newbie has nothing to do with thc intake...I know people who have been smoking for years hit it once maybe twice and still get super high everytime they smoke then I know people who smoke hourly and still get high but takes more then a few puffs like myself! Could be alot of things mood? atmosphere? that tends to cause panic attacks sometimes....I wouldn't smoke as much next time and see what happens....remember marijuana can't kill you

I get that often if I get a bit of sativa.
If you want to work that off, find something that is good work but more safe like stacking wood, gives you a sweat out and sativa is really uplifting so if work is something you enjoy or don't mind, it helps the jitters.

That's weird. One of the reasons that I smoke is to take away my jitters and tremors (plus all the other fun stuff that comes with my condition) due to hyperthyroidism. I never feel anything but a settled feeling when I smoke bud. I'm out right now though unfortunately. Can't sleep which is why I'm here.

hypochondriac lol
this thread maybe old but i wanted to say i dont think its nice to devalue someones problems and call them a hypochondriac we have many users who come on here with various problems whether it be mental or physical
just because you feel its a faux problem doesnt mean you should devalue what the OP is stating they are having problems with

all too often people make jokes in the anxiety threads quite frankly im pretty sick of it, its not a joking matter. these people feel alone and are suffering its not fair to joke or make light about someones health issues

Holy shit, didn't notice all the replies! Thanks for resourceful feedback guys :)

What medication are you taking and for what reason?
in my 1st post, there's a link to that thread. But its not for that reason, just tested out yesterday. All was okey.:bigjoint:
As mentioned above, it was likely way too much weed and probably a specific strand that caused it.

Use Leafly to find strains that are low in anxiety and paranoia. Your complaint is not weird at all. It is extremely common and is often the reason people stop smoking pot altogether.

Hey! Sorry to hear about your troubles but there are some factors you must account for . I am wondering if this has happened in the past ? Have you been smoking the same bud when these jitters appear ? How far between smoking do you go ? How soon do they come on and how long do they last? It would also be beneficial to know if you like and do well with sativa's or not .. are you anxiety prone also is what i am getting at with that one . Now , if you smoke a different strain .. we might see quickly it's the bud / strain you have that effects you in this manner . If you are spacing out your sessions more than 24 hours apart and using nicotine products such as blunt wraps .. then i would say it's likely the nicotine is causing this . If you have trouble with sativas like me or are anxiety prone .. well then we know its either the sativa possibly or this strain or amount of thc is too much for you and maybe be causing anxiety symptoms . If you can identify these things which you should before solving the issue .. you can play around with these factors by obviously , switching strains .. switching to indica ... decreasing the amount you smoke to feel out the high and see the results ... and so on . I hope this helps but if not , the only thing i could say is try high CBD contents to help counter act anxiety prone scenarios and don't smoke in a cold setting if you are possibly for some reason . I am by no means a scientist or expert but this is just my quick take on and hopefully it helps a bit but if not , best of luck! let us know if you come up with any answers .

Thanks for the tips man.. sorry for the late response, must've overlooked the notification..
It hasn't happened since then... I never know exactly what strain I am getting, so can't rule out that factor really.
