Hi everyone. I really want to move to a legal state with jobs in the marijuana business. I'm a hard worker, consider myself a pretty smart person. Learn quickly just learn better by being shown what to do as told. Any leads to a job in washington/colorado/Oregon would be greatly appreciated. I hate were I live. about as far from legalization as many other states. Been a long time smoker of marijuana and tired of being treated like a criminal for doing so. I suffer from severe anxiety/depression and marijuana helps me alot. Thanks in advance for any leads.

If this violates riu rules im sorry I didn't mean to. Kinda desperate atm. All the jobs here are factory/restaurant/retail. All of which either drug test or my anxiety wont allow me to work. I don't have the best work record, but I promise when I did work im a very hard worker. I'll take a drug test as long as it doesn't involve marijuana. Honestly from my experience I out work people that dont smoke. I want to work, but was diagnosed with social phobia/agoraphobia a few years ago. I've recently quit smoking due to $ issues and my anxiety is worse than ever. I will do whatever it takes to be accepted as I am. Marijuana helps me more than anyone will ever know, but I can't get a decent job around here without being drug tested and the ones i can get I have to deal with more people than I'm comfortable with.

A problem i can see you having is that most of the jobs you want to apply for you are going to have to go in for a interview i'm guessing. Would be hard given you aren't from the state you are applying for but maybe if you call them on the phone something can be arranged

Thanks for the advice, I appreciate it. I didn't think of that. I'm just hoping I can figure something out. Probably be better if I could be in the sate Appling for. At the moment I could move to that state just be alot better if I had a job when I got there. I'm tempted to just move anyway and figure things out when I got there. Worst case scenario is pretty much the same at this point.

Sharp, Im not from America so i cannot help you with your question. Perhaps i can help you with a little bit of motivation and optimism.
May even help you with "life" stuff.

Im 46, so a little older than you.

No matter where you travel to there are jobs available, Aha there is..yep..sure is....the people in the towns who live there either dont want em, dont need em, or are stuck in a rut.

Best way to get out of a rut is to move out of it.

Go door knocking business..you WILL get a job that way. (maybe not the first day or the first week- BUT YOU WILL)

You will struggle at first, You will met new people. You will have new and exciting opportunities, you just have to want them. You will be depressed at times. You will be the happiest you have ever been in your Life at times. You will lean new things about yourself (some you will like and some you wont).

You will have stories to tell. (and isnt that what life is about?)

GL with what ever you do..wish i was 27 again. (I'd travel more and ive traveled more than most)

Thank you lucky luke for the inspirational words, I'm very pessimistic by nature and from being apart of this site I was expecting alot of negativity from people. its very nice to hear something nice. I like to travel wish I would have done more in the time I've been here. Ive been to quite a few places in the u.s but wish I could travel the world and experience life other than the u.s. Maybe one of these days.

Its Human nature to be pessimistic and not positive (true story, study was just done).

Ima little depressive to in my personality. I deal with it by walking, push bike riding etc. Basically making myself do stuff.

And Fk people. There are family (love em or despise em), Friends and the rest. Fk the rest.

Strangers on an internet site? Really? who gives a flying fk what they think?

Welcome to RIU!

Lol. Not just the internet people I don't even feel comfortable around family/what friends. I don't have friends anymore, But I like the way you think. I just feel alone and misunderstood. No matter the billions of people, I still feel alone. Hoping people on this site of all people would somewhat understand me. Maybe I'm different for a reason... Idk. Thank you tho for the positive view on things.

I know I'm not the only person on this earth to feel the way I do, but I just feel like most people don't understand me the same way I don't understand them. I think differently than most people.

See we think alot alike. Why couldn't I have a friend like you. Sheeple lol individuality has left this this earth and gone to to who knows where. I feel like a outcast because I don't think the same way as everyone else. Nice to know someone else thinks similarly to me.

I can sort of confirm this, two of my jobs have been gotten by walking in asking for a manager and asking what he had for me.
