Jock Horror Auto

Planted this yesterday (28th October, 2016) - to replace the Mephisto S.O.D.K I stupidly killed by trying to germinate it under lights - doh!

The Jock Horror has showed itself above the soil today, 4 days after planting, so I will count it as 1 day old tomorrow. The tiny gnats are back in my grow space, so regrettably I'm resorting to Ultimate Bug Killer. Generally, I go out of my way to avoid harming any living creature, great or small, but I will rip the head off a kitten if it messes with my weed! lol - just kidding.

I've tried that, but it doesn't address the problem in the soil. This stuff claims to last for 6 weeks and is safe for food crops. Unfortunately, it may be the reason my little Jock Horror made it to the surface, started to open then just stopped.
RIP

Booby trap!!! Snares work particularly good for my wife's Siamese cats. :o

EDIT: Misread that, thought a kitten was f-ing with your plant.

Seriously though, I REALLY like the Jock Horror non-auto stuff. Great weed. Didn't know there was an auto strain. I'll be watching this grow!!

The tiny gnats are probably fungus gnats. You can let the top 2 inches or so of soil get good and dry and they'll die off. Bottom water for a couple of weeks and keep the dead foliage cleared out and they should all die out. You can also put 2 inches of pearock on top of the soil. I have heard that tobacco is a good repellent but I have never tried that one. Hell, tobacco is a good repellent on me!

Cheers, that's good advice. They are only in 1 pot now which I can't let the top dry out on yet as I have a seedling just pushing through. I might try the tobacco solution in future.
