Don't overlook suffering in your eagerness to win, it's the biggest factor in the "debate". You don't debate evil you fight it, where ever you find it, if possible and practical. Practicality is dependant on circumstances in this case.

your argument would be more convincing if Bernie hadn't let us in on his secret plan -- to ride the energized wave of his imaginary friends in the office. When asked who these imaginary friends are, it was explained as: a huge untapped voting-eligible population who are extremely left in politicial viewpoint but preferred to sit by and let Republicans rule. Until now, that is.

What was his overall turnout? 10% of the electorate?

For that, Democrats should pander to them?

"corporations direct political policy", said it right there in the post

Corporate interests run both the Republican and the Democratic party. Republicans largely don't care because many of them are single issue voters who really only care which candidate wants to murder babies and which doesn't. Democrats pretend like they don't, and gaslight and votershame. I don't see how you can expect to fix this problem without even acknowledging it first, and until you do, Republicans will continue to win elections.
