Hey all! Rough here, just trying to find people to chat with about growing in general. Specifically critiquing my current setup and or accepted norms. I am a novice to growing, as I have only harvested crops twice. Both times were soil grows. I am enjoying hydroponics a lot and I doubt that I will revert back to soil for any reason. Including pics and videos of grow to get everyone caught up! I will be posting all updates to here from now on as its easier for me maintain then a journal. Thanks for reading! Smoke on!

I went a bit too heavy on the feeding and they got a bit damaged as indicated in the pictures. I brought the PPM back down to around 300 and they seem happy again. Also a little side note for myself as well as anyone using this for informational purposes. I have been seeing issues anytime I check my water and its above 5.8 PH. I think this is in part due to the inertness of this medium; but so far I have seen better growth from PHs around 5.3 to 5.6. Anything outside of this range seems to severely slow them down and show odd growth patterns.

looks like you got a major mg defficency in your plants, or your growing in very cold conditions,

have you calibrated your ph pen lately? fluctuating ph in small hydro systems can be a pain in the arse

It was actually the cold weather I believe! Its winter time here and I don't have a thermostat! My air intake is from the outside so my room was getting prettttty cold. I think it was peaking around 65 >.< I added a 400 watt light as a heater, hehehe and it seems my temps are back in the normal range.

I calibrated it a few days ago. I checked the water just a second ago, it was at 5.55 Ph, 312 PPM and 71 degrees. 75 degree temps midway through the room and 78 at the top near the light. Anyone have experience with damage caused by their plant being too close to the light? Not heat damage, but actual "sun burn"? I am curious as to what is "too close."

I checked my PH meter against my 4.01 solution and it read 4.02 and I didn't let it sit much longer then about 60 seconds, I'm sure it woulda found that last .01 hehe. I think my meter is in check.

Hey guys, going to be posting an update here in a minute. Using a new line of nutrients. Decided to go with the house and garden setup. Kinda spendy, but I think it is going to be a good switch from the general hydroponics floranova series. We'll see, eh?

Also; I think my plants are a little stressed out; the leaves are twisting a bit. I think it might have been the PH. Ill be putting up an update in a sec with my meter readings.

Switched to flowering. Going to be doing an update when I get home from work tomorrow. I just want to start over with the new nutes and test em against my 1 part floranova.
