first grow I did myself was subs supersoil, I get organics, I just don't have a yard to do it the way I would like. I have had great success using peat moss and powdered nutes. I feel my bail of peat helps the landfill, but that may just be me.

Did the SS perform well for you? I've read a little about it but I am in the same situation as you having no yard to work in, so I'm stuck with bottled stuff for the next year or so when I get into my own joint and have the opportunity to expand my mind a bit more.
BTW, you did offer some great reading material which I will read through the rest tomorrow morning. Maybe I just misunderstood what you were saying. Smoking a little chronic always brings me back down to earth and helps me see things more clearly. Those damn human flaws of mine always get in the way of good communication

i was just learning then,knowing what i know now,i could make it work better. and i tried to grow some greenhouse seed co. shit,which didn't help.Did the SS perform well for you?
