Strain: Blue Haze Clone
Medium/Method: GH Waterfarm w/additional holes drilled w/ Hydroton & Active Aqua 7.8 L air pump
Water: Store bought RO water (PPM 30 - 40 & PH 7.2)
Grow Area: 2' deep X 3' wide X 75" tall heavy duty steel cabinet from a closed bank. (irony)
Meters: Hanna Digital PH Checker & Hanna Digital Primo PPM
Lighting: 400 Watt HPS with Phillips retro CMH bulb & Generic Hood
Nutes: Probably Flora Nova Bloom. Someone on this site had good results with Pineapple Express using ONLY Flora Nova Bloom start to finish.

Everyone feel free to post to this journal and give advice as you see fit. Is it time for nutes yet? Yes I know I need some mylar. :)

It is still veging so I currently have the doors open. But I am curious about using a 400+ cfm squirrel cage like scotty or is that overkill? Unless advised otherwise, I will probably end up getting one like it in the next week or so from grainger since I KNOW that works. I will post an update soon.

I having been running flora nova bloom 5ml per gallon draining & refilling with fresh every third day. When I switched it out today I noticed a HUGE long root coming out of the top part along with other shorter roots. All nice n white looking very healthy. It's difficult to keep the ph down but the plant doesnt appear to be suffering at all.

Been over a month. Day 1 of flowering. Got one image larger but I cant figure out how to make the others larger... :)

Not much to report. Oh and the guy I got the clone from says it's Blue Hash not Blue Haze. *Sigh* I'll try seeds next time. I've been clearing some of the leaves and shaded bud sites from below the screen.

Looks like I have some powdery mold. (Sorry no pics of this) I have known it for a couple weeks but was hoping it was just dust. I have heard it's rare for it to damage buds. Apparently it's systemic and I'm definitely getting seeds from now on. I will try the fat free milk approach and see how that goes. Figured out the macro on my camera. Got some nice trichomes developing.

The milk helped the powdery mold issue, but as I figured it would, it appears to be coming back. Things are going good. The buds are getting sticky & filling out nicely. Nutes up to 15ml per gallon with a flush every few days. Current temps 72.7 F (22.6 C) and relative humidity at 34%.

Hi,

Yes I tried some more milk and it (powdery mildew) appeared to come back with a vengance. I searched around the internet and found a product called greencure. I used 1/8 teaspoon to 1 quart of water. (sorry too old to learn metrics) This amount is WAY less than what the label says to use. This was advice from the clerk at the grow shop. I am glad I took his advice. First the milk was turning all of my pistils brown. But the greencure appeared to wash off my trichomes and dry my plant. If I would have followed the label, my plant would have burned up. It didnt kill it or turn everything brown but everything felt dry. The plant appears to be recovering ok and trichomes are growing back. This is the first plant I have grown since 1983 so everything is somewhat new to me.

I hope it works this time round. Have you got good air circulation, if not get a fan on them, that should help. I was a little screaming shit machine in 1983, things have come a long way since then!

I've got a 4" round hole on the lower end of the back of the cabinet, then I have a dayton squirrel blower up top pushing 485 cfm of air out the top. My cabinet doors will slam shut from the suction if I let them. I do notice a lot of dust particles floating around in the cabinet when I open the doors. I think that I'll get a slip on bug screen for the intake on the outside and a carbon filter hooked to the squirrel cage on the inside. Should be starting the flush by Saturday.

Plenty of air exchange then, you could stretch a bit of your mrs. stockings over the hole to stop dust and crap getting in maybe

Hey JeromeT, I have been reading this, subbed and following! it looks like a sturdy enough plant to cope with the problem, its lucky you didnt follow the instructions on the label ey?!
How are they getting along now? Im curious!
