Everyone in this forum loves to grow. What about a friendly party cup grow/contest? Just the usual suspects here in the CO section. I figure it could be fun and we could see how each of us grows in the meantime and learn and teach a few things to one and other. So Who's in???

What did you have in mind? I think the idea would be to see who can grow a specific strain out with the best results, yes? Tough to do because of the variables in our individual growing cycles, like for hydro grows you can't disrupt the schedule for the other plants to begin a single oddball, but your idea is noble, to get info from several growers and amass some legit data. There have been a few CO cup ideas floated, so the concept could be popular enough, heck if I know. How do you determine the winner? That has been a problem for the biggies, the results are always questioned by those who didn't win because there is no clear 'best', as it is a subjective measurement. If you can solve that issue maybe something could happen. There are likely to be some weed competitions come up soon, it seems like a natural development. And yes, the plant count is an issue for those of us with plans to stay in bounds and have seeds waiting.
 
My original thought was just to see and learn. I figured in a Solo Cup grow would isolate what each grower does and it could be shared with the group. As far as a winner I think nothing would really be awarded other than maybe shit talking rights. Everyone in our geoup is honest and quite frankly pretty fucking awesome. Ok. I'm back to thinking this could be a wonderful learning project.
 
Let's do this Colorado folks. C'mon.

Only rule being an 18 oz. Party cup. Grow your own way under any light using your own methods. The Treehouse crew can play. See how things go with folks running hydro, synthetics, organics, veganics, or a combo.

Chew, Chef, True, CAS, Bad Andy and crew, Dank, Bubba, 420circuit, C'mon guys.
 
Perhaps? YES. DO IT. :) You can run a test on veganics.

I say any strain. Only rule being the solo cup. If anyone else has ideas though throw them out there.
 
Yes I suppose I could! Now where can I ding 16oz of animal less soil! LoLol when do you plan on starting?
 
Whenever we get the folks on board I guess. I hadn't thought that far ahead. I say we run the 18oz. Ups. 2 more oz. :)

What are the veganic soils? Just cc or amended cc?

I like that idea, Jay a lot. The updates will help with the learning/teaching process. I'm also down for a set start and veg time. Thank you, Jay.
 
hey guys while the idea is great i want to let you know there is no selling/trading on riu of seeds, clones or anything like that its for our safety and for yours as well!

Fair enough. Not looking at breaking any rules here at RIU, just looking to have a little fun and do some learning. Maybe once we're all done with the grow we can get together and smoke the entries. bongsmilie
 
Lame...didnt know you be breaking rules if you let someone HAVE something for FREE no sale or trade but okay....yeah we can def. do that kramer sounds like a great idea

thats consider a TRADE if its free, its against site rules I kindly asked you not to do it, please do not make it into an argument, I could've just shut down the thread and NOT given an explanation
 
Smdh who's arguing? And im NOT giving away my beans since its considered a trade question is and no im not arguing just lost...how is gifting something to someone considered trading whwn i receive nothing in return?

:wall:you're missing the point, it doesnt matter if you dont receive anything back you CANNOT give , send, receive,and (any other thing you can think of to argue with me about ) seeds through this website,
