So... I use digital ballasts. I usually use a splitter that turns my 1k ballast into 2 600 lights. i get great output and great results this way. My question is that "Nanolux" has a "Flip" ballast that you plug 2 lights into and it powers 1 for the 12 hours then turns it off and turns the other one on. Its a 1k ballast. The specs are below, my question is could you possibly use a splitter also on each one in theory have 4 lights working off the ballast, only 2 at any 1 time of course?
Nanolux Flip Series (120-240V) 1000W Ballast
FLIP SERIES
We’ve simplified the Flip technology by incorporating it into our Flip Series ballast. This technology allows the user to run two separate lights on an alternating 12/12 cycle. A 120V trigger cable is provided to switch between the two outputs. Nanolux also provides a Y cable to allow you to daisy chain the trigger cable between multiple units. Save space and money by consolidating two technologies in to one ballast. The Flip Series is not compatible with the NCCS. Like the Dual Series, the Flip Series has a patented 9-sided design that allows for quicker dissipation of heat without the advent of large, heavy heat sinks. Like all of our ballasts the Flip Series comes with Random Start technology. Random Start uses an algorithm that will start the ballast within a 0-15 second window. This allows for less initial power draw when using multiple ballasts. All Nanolux ballasts are FCC compliant – no more RFI problems. ETL listed meeting product safety standards.
