Looks very similar to the old mexican brick weed of my youth. I really enjoyed that stuff and it was $10.00/lid (oz).

I remember that stuff was $75/lb. if you bought 5 circa 1973.
And after you dumped out a mountain of seeds and the whole stem it grew on, you had maybe 3 1/2.
I guess pulling males and trimming hadn't been discovered yet. Lol.
LOL $99/kilo we cleaned on record album covers. What a mess. We've learned so much over the years.

I actually remember some exceptional Mexican weed from that era, it was rare but you'd stumble into it once in a while.
Oaxacan, a real mind bender. I don't know if it actually came from there but it wasn't your average Mexican.
There was good gold and red weed too, but you couldn't get lots of it. I remember $350/lb. which was an ungodly price and it was gone in a weekend.
Then came Thai Sticks at $200-225/oz.
I told a buddy who always wanted 'the best' that he should stop over one day and bring some money. Lol.
1st he said you're nuts. Then he tried 2 hits and asked how much are you going to get rid of?
Best weed I have ever smoked was called Michoacan. Like you I don't know if it came from there but it was amazing. It was $35.00 an Oz but was all he had so I bought it. By the time I got back to him that evening it was all gone ;/
I'm currently growing 2 plants but they havent flowered in 3 months. This weed is from the state of Jalisco, fresh, but unfortunately 90% of the time it has seeds so not too strong. But it is a very positive sativa. Almost all the time it is the same, rarely come across without seeds and the quality can be great. In Michoacan once I got a brown one that was strong and trippy with visuals. The bag has a sticker with the name of the cartel, so you dont get in trouble transporting it in the area and if you get stopped by the cops, you can show them the sticker and they will leave you alone or charge a bribe, usually $10 usd.
I grow seed tables all the time. I also grow sensimilla of the same strains. I've never noticed a difference in potency between seeded and non seeded. Just a lot less weed for the weight. With all the strains I've tried there's a ceiling to the high. With the particular landrace it wasn't very potent but you could just keep smoking it to achieve the high you wanted ie ceilingless. Have you tried to just keep smoking to see if you can get higher?
