Just Bought Rapid Rooter plugs to start seeds ... any suggestions?

I just purchased a bag of Rapid Rooter plugs to start my seeds in. I soaked the plugs placed 7 seeds in 7 different plugs and have them in a container in my cupboard.

I was planning on keeping them in there until the seeds cracked and I could place them under my T-5 light.

Do you have any suggestions? Or can you tell me if I'm doing anything wrong?

Any help or suggestions are GREATLY appreciated, thank you in advance!

Take care

They should sprout and everything, but I wouldn't recommend them for seeds. They are great for clones.

It's just that with seeds, they have a tap-root that wants to go down further than the plugs will allow, they are too short. Ideally the container you start in should be at least 4" tall.

some seeds you have to keep warm or they wont pop, I keep the t5 on 24 hours a day keep them about 85 f with the t5 or use a heat matt, I prefer the t5 because I don't check my stuff every day and if im not home the light is already on for them. also its rec if you use distilled water for new seeds, most important have fun keep your fingers crossed, not to many people get a 100 % success rate so don't feel bad if all of them don't pop.

I've used Rapid Rooters alone to start my seeds. Over 5 grows and 14 seeds, I've never had a seed not sprout on me from a Rapid Rooter. Just remember, pointy side down. I put the seed in and add a few drops of water to keep the RR moist, but not damp. Once the seeds sprout, make sure to cover the top of the RR to prevent mold from growing.

What you need to keep in mind about cannabis message boards is that a lot of people will give advice even if they don't have any first-hand experience with the scenario you're asking about. Rapid Rooters are perfectly fine to start seeds in.

Thank you very much i appreciate it!

All but one sprouted but i thinks its because of the way i inserted it as well as i was keeping them too moist, first timer mistake ... all the others started very nicely though
