What a beautiful specimen.....gorgeous....heart-breaking ! Oh that awesome puppy
smell !

Auggie has had a very busy morning , chasing ducks , Canadian geese, cats
and rolling in dead fish ( p f'ing u ). We just finished washing him down with
Dawn dish washing soap and H2O2 ( same mix we use for their encounters with
those lovely skunks ). He's whipped !

Reminds me of a good friend of mine who passed away about a year ago . He was a car mechanic who had an affinity for large intimidating breeds . He had a special way with them , never had to lay a hand on them and they immediately knew he was the alpha dog .

He'd been trying to corral an extra large homeless pitty type for a month one winter . He finally found him living in a drainage pipe behind his shop and crawled in and hauled him out . He named him Trouble .

My friend had several high end cars but preferred to daily drive junkers . When he got Trouble he took the back seat out of an old Honda Accord and Trouble made a nest in the trunk area .

Trouble worshipped his new dad and wouldn't leave that car unless he was told . My buddy thought it was hilarious to park with the windows open and stuff in plain view except for Mr Trouble in his cubby hole .

Edit to say I don't mean to make this a bummer post , just reflection on a good friend . You never knew what kind of new dog would be there when you went to visit . At one point he had 7 rottweilers . I'd stop by his shop for a 5 minute chat and be there 2 hours .

He and those dogs are remembered with a smile and a chuckle , that's the way he'd want it . One of a kind for sure !

The smaller dog has one hell of a backup. That look on the big guy really cracks me up......he's pissed-off......he wants a pound of flesh!

I bought Beanie a new outdoor bed. He did not appreciate my effort.

Zeus (Yorkipoo) was by. He is high energy and loves rolling in things that stink.

Ok what are you doing

We lost our 11 year old shepherd recently - we had no plans for another dog.
This little girl came to a rescue 5 minutes from our home. She has a strong resemblance to our Uschi dog. Zoe is very shy and gentle.
We have not heard her bark yet. She is afraid or has no experience with stairs.
We decided that we have more love to share-
Hopefully with some patience and kindness- she will heal soon.
60.4 lbs when we picked her up yesterday. She walks on a leash very well however is skiddish when someone approaches us.
