What an absolutely beautiful girl . Angel is written all over her face . You can see she was loved and had a long and happy life . They occupy a spot in our hearts that humans have no access to . Only dog lovers can understand .

Yesterday was a sad day in my neighborhood also . My good friends Collie Romeo passed away at 11 years old .

He was King of the neighborhood and of the local dog park . His mom is 84 and he was her 6th Collie . They were constant companions , her love for him radiated from her face when he was with her .

He was a big boy , regal in stature . Calm and composed in his nature . They were the first friends my dog and I made when I got him and walked him around the neighborhood . They quickly became our besties out of many .

I'm going to cry when I see her . I'm tearing up now just thinking about it . When I left to take my little dude to the park yesterday her car was at the park and I knew Romeo wasn't with her . I couldn't stop there because I started crying thinking about her loss and how strong she was to go tell all their friends that he is gone .

We'll be off on our daily walk in a few and will be going past her house , I hope I can find the words if she's home . I know I'll cry and so will she .

There is something in a good dog that humans will never possess .

 for your neighbor and you.

Thanks all! It's a lot of weird not seeing her. Like C2G said, it's never long enough... hoping a wonderful day for all.
