My old weiner dog ate a 1/2 full coffee can of bacon grease , got the squirts and ran around the house in a poopy frenzy . But I still miss her 50 later !

We just found out the big boy has cancer. Large tumor in his abdomen along with another on his liver & a smaller one possibly on his spleen. We have declined "open up & look" as it's pretty obvious it has metastasized (Dr's diagnosis), so we are keeping him happy and comfortable (not to mention lots of snuggles).
On Dr's recommendations we are giving a protein suppliment.
And an experimental (hoping for a "Hail Mary") drug that is primarily used for whip worms but has also shown to disrupt the cancer growth in animals and even humans in certain circumstances.
I know the inevitable but if this buys an extra "Good" day or two, it's all worth it.

That's terrible news ! Can fully understand not doing surgery and hopefully the treatment will go well . How old is he ?
He's 9 - a good run with a Boerboel is usually 12 years.
What he lacks in longevity he more than makes up with his heart & love.
