Just done my first super cropping - Have I messed up?

Hi guys im new plz to meet yous

I've just done my first super cropping on my ladies, they are in the 1st of a 9 week flowering.

Please tell i've not fucked them up!!!

Also this is a very stupid question...
Why have I always got one stem that is purple in colour and the other that is green, as illustrated in this pic.. The purple one produces a leaf, can i pull this off
