White Widow
I defoliated WW this morning to give Light to lower branches and to help with air circulation as Im not Having fan extractror cause I grow in a bedroom wardrobe and cut cut holes.
Hello bro.I agree with chip. In the past few days I have seen some stunning bad "advice" what would surely result in the end of a crop. Not just a disagreement over flushing or not flushing; but telling someone to harvest at day 45 on a 70 day satrain, or chop down plants because of "reasons", or using 1200w of light in a 2x4......
Sheesh.
Anyway, I grew WW for my first grow. I grow in a 3x3 basement tent in a large house in a rec legal state. After it went into flower, I had to go out and get carbon filters. The stank was intense even in remote rooms. We don't have central air for heat or a/c, so that wasn't it. It was just dank and loud.
The filters were for family harmony. Not legal reasons. But you might see where I'm going with this...
Kick ass man, good luck and love the title of the threadHello.
First time grower here. How are you?
that about what I do ph soil at 6.8 and my water a little lower but 7 ph is neutral and I've had plants at 7.2 thriving but I agree 6.8 is the sweet spot for meFrom other soil growers who recommend between 6 and 7. I have had very good success with the water at 6.5 - 6.8 pH growing in soil.
Lemon juice or vinegar will work in a pinch. But it took me 1 - 2 tablespoons to reduce the pH using white vinegar. That couldn't be good considering I use that same white vinegar for removing weeds from between the patio stones.
Switched from vinegar to 18% phosphoric acid (pH down) and I would recommend that switch also. About 4 - 5 ml (~1 tsp.) of 18% phosphoric acid in an imperial gallon drops the pH from 8.2 down to 6.7.
