I feel your pain. I grow just one or two plants at a time. Recently I nurtured 4 reg males in a row to sexual maturity.... Set me back.3months. I'm sticking w fems for a while. Never had a single issue with a variety of femmed beans.

its not the seeds fault or where they came from. there is lots of voodoo about how to make your plants female, but he facts are females are about +3 males to 1 female. on average. so really you are above the curve if you got 50/50

higher temps is said to spawn more males, but i don't know about that.

again not anyone "fault" in anyway.

I doubt that, you would/should bet getting paid thousands by breeders if you can guarantee a female from seed by some method.

ADD: also just pointed out by a friend here, Oaksterdam 2013 curriculum also give about a 40% female rate.

Hello I might be way off topic but I need help. I have dwc setup and I'm a new to this first time But I have organic starter plugs and the seed germinated but it wants to fall over what do I do jus put it in and leave it? Will it grow through the plug ? That's wat I'm wondering is if it will grow through or do I need to transplant ? Please help...

getting paid thousands wouldnt be worth my time..lol
cost me ~.28 a gram to produce after all overhead
do 30k for 20lbs every 2 weeks to the next city south of me.. do some math.. and thats just one customer

but the methods i use are well known. in many books...
i might have altered slightly looking for results and adjusting but i got my start from other studies and even cannabis books. a seed breeder wouldnt care, its not like you do something to the seed.
its environment, and ive been postin this for a couple years... its held true to taoday

for whatever reason most people think all organisms operate on an xy sex determination system. not true at all. a little science goes a long way

the fact that we can create feminized seed by spraying a known female plant is quite telling.. even more so is that the plant is both mono and dioecious. some plants especially along the equator will flower based on time and pollinate themselves
we have sort of a male marker.. thats how we can create fem seeds. but very different than an xy
in fact many mammals insects and plants are determined by environment, temp for example and there ate many sex determination systems other than the classic xy taught in elementary school

this is quite ignorant thinking
