Just got a speeding ticket in the mail.

Hah it's not like that though, they're sneaky fuckers, what they did was they sat in an white van on the hard shoulder on the motorway with a speed camera, so when I drove by I saw this flash and I was like shiiiit.

I was only going 135km in a 100 km area on a motorway, at night when there was very very little traffic. I mean I'm obviously going to drive faster when I've got a nice clear straight stretch in front of me with no sign of traffic.

Now my insurance is going to shoot through the roof too :(
 
I live in ontario,you can take anything to court and just plaed guilty to a lesser charge.I've gotten out of the whole "points" issue a couple times and just had to pay a fine...2 points for not wearing a seatbelt for example,plead guilty to a lesser charge they drop the points and make you pay something like $110 CDN.
 
i got a ticket mailed to me once for passing a school bus with its flashers on . how ever i was no where near a schoolbus . the ticket i got said my car was silver (its gold) it also gave a location for the incident (cop scribbled it out and replaced with location he saw my car). bus driver called and complained about a silver car, the police saw my car on the other side of town and for some reason thought it was the silver car he was lookin for? went and fought it , the judge didnt even need my side . he bitched the cop out real well. different situation i know but wanted to share.
 
I ride a bike and I have a mirror shield that you can't see through in the daylight (I wear a clear one at night) and when I get flashed they can't see my face so they have nothing to match my drivers licence pic to my registration

So I get no ticket :)

Even without the mirror shield I wonder if I could get out of it because its a full face helmet and you can only see my eyes (is that enough to match a pic?)

That and I always turn my head from the cameras when I get to them
