I was raised in the suburbs of Salt Lake City. Most of my friends either went on missions or were at least raised mormon. They have some pretty crazy beliefs beneath the surface. The basics of the mormon religion is similar to most other christians but they throw in some weird shit involving aliens and owning your own planet in heavan etc.....
Most the mormons I know were forced by their families and the pressure of the church to go on missions. They don't want to be there and in most cases don't believe their own bullshit. I always invite them in and let them chill for a bit, I tell them I don't want what they are selling but they are free to get off their feet and chill for a bit.
