Hello. so i have brought up this problem in here before with little to no help in fixing it besides over or under waterning. tried both didnt make a difference.

This problem started on the far bottom leaves (leads me to think nute problem) well my first 5 nodes of fan leaves are now gone due to them slowly withering away to nothing. well the 5th i actually removed my self before it got 90% dead. i figured i would take the leafs off before it spread up another set of nodes. WELL I WAS WRONG!

And its now taken over another 2 sets of fan leaves. and threating more.

Alittle Info. 9 weeks old give or take veg state
Bag seed,MG Organic Soil, Use moisture meter allow it to dry out all the way to the bottom everytime before watering. she doesnt show any change in health after i water her from bone dry. My PH meter doesnt work. so i dont know the PH. but i have only been feeding them tap water due to the MG soil with the auto feed. Temps 75-84 Humidty 45-50%. Normaly its not directly infront of those 2 fans i swapped the 2 plants. um idk i just woke up. if you need anymore info just ask.

Please help me fix this problem. i have been trying to fix it for almost 3 weeks now with no luck. And little help on this one. It seems no one has a clue what to make of it this time around lol.

Oh yeah. Its ready to be watered atm. its just about dry. keep that in mind

Try just flushing your plant. If you really want to add nutes do it half rec strength. But it would def be better to try and flush out your plant with pHd water before trying anything. This may even correct the problem. There is a great section on the site for identifying plant problems and other sites that provide great information too. Hope your plant turns out well. going through rough times in my first hydro grow so i feel ya bro

You can get a soil PH test kit for like $7 at any garden store. I had problems with Farfards soil (supposedly "PH balanced), and it turned out to be very acid. MG adds a lot of fertilizer to their soil and that also lowers PH. I would also thin that soil with 20% pearlite in the future.

They really don't look that bad though GL

the first step to solving your problem is knowing what you are dealing with.
And since you dont know the ph, I would start there.
Also, a ph test solution kit is very cheap, mine cost $7 and it has lasted me over a year. It never breaks either.
Start with monitoring your ph, if that doesnt help, we will try something else
Good luck

i have looked at the local garden stores home depot lowes and walmart along with some smaller side stores and i cant find anything for ph testing kits. i did find some at a pet store would 1 of these pet store ph kits do the job?

And am i sure i want to try to do a flush in MG soil and risk a massive nute burn from the auto feed ferts?

i just checked the moisture. the needle is right at 5 outa 1-10 10 wet 1 dry. and thats the far bottom of the soil

i have looked threw those pictures and those stickys my self and with others trying to figure the problem out with no luck

thats because i removed the worse leaves. this is only 1 night of dmg. it will develop like the others did
but thank you. i do like how they are coming along besides these issues at hand. i want to get it all solved before i go into 12/12

The problem with ph test kits at home depot or walmart is that they use a red phenol solution.
the range for that ph test kit is 6.8 - 8.5 which is not the appropriate range for what you need.
go to a hydro shop, or pay shipping on a better, wider range ph test kit.
Here is what I use

Good luck.

when leaves curl up its too hot or no water but yours is doing the opposite so is either too much water or the ph is mucked up. you said soil was at 6ish which is good enough so try instead of flushing it everytime water it half as much as you do. do let it get bone dry for too long but dont keep it wet. you want moisture in the soil but not too much that it drowns it. good luck

You definitely have a heat issue from the sharp turn down of the leaves at the very ends, the plant color looks great overall. has a nice dark green look to it, so you know it's getting plenty of nitrogen. in that pic your soil looks damp.(could be the pic or whatever, but that soil doesn't look dry at all) and check on the bag to see what all the soil contains... Miracle Grow likes to add a lot of peat moss to there soils and that stuff retains water big time. I had a moisture meter a couple years ago and it didn't work for long, i'd use your finger and stick it in the soil for your test, dont trust cheap tools, and if you leave that moisture meter in the soil for very long it quits working anyways. In the future always ammend your soil (especially important for potted plants) with around 20% perlite, you can go more or less depending on what else you plan to add, but perlite is available at homedepot and lowes if you can't find it, ask someone there, it's very common stuff. perlite adds to drainage big time and it is a must for potted plants (not just MJ, but all potted plants) plants that are in pots compact that soil with there roots and drainage goes to about nothing. goodluck with the grow, gotta get back to work!

think you read some one elses post... she always gets bone dry and had never been flushed
i have plants in differant mixs experimenting everything. the soil gets bone dry my meter is working fine the pot hardly weighs anything and the soil is so dry u can crumble it to dust in finger tips. its wet now. i just came home and the enter thing was drooping hard core. moisture meter read bone dry to the core. so i gave it some water. see how she looks in a few hours
if 74-83ish and 40-50% humidity is a heat issue then i got 1. but i believe those are ideal temps.
I never said my soil was at 6ish... im so lost in this thread now i think ppl are commenting on someone elses stuff lol

alright i found a PH testing kit!!!. this was the only one i found. sounds kinda ghetto. Its a soil ph testing kit. so it said to get some soil from 4inchs down. i do so. put it into this tube up to said line. then fill with distilled water to next line. i did. now to shake. done. im getting a really really light green color. looking at the chart dark green 7.5 lighter green 7.0 greenish brown 6.5 brownish orange 6.0 mine is right between 7.0 and 6.5 maybe 6.7? by the color so im fairing alright for just soil and tap water. that doesnt sound like the issue?

I also picked up a thing of Schultz Plant Food Plus its a 10-15-10 mix. i was thinking about giving 1 of my plants a really weak dose of some of that today when i water her. shes in MG potting soil been for 10 weeks now. im thinking her auto feed nutes are just about all done.

Here you go, make your own ph kit. You take a red cabbage cut it into fourths and shred or chop it. Put it in a pot and fill with distilled water just to the top of the caggage . Bring to a boil then simmer 15 - 20 min. use a coffee filter to strain into a bowl and allow to cool. Now you can soak coffee filters in the sollution allow to dry and cut into strips to use as ph test strips or store the juice in mason jars etc... and use like you would with normal dropper solution.
