Just lookin for input

Hello folks,

This site and all of the peoples I've met so far rock. Im just lookin for advice and love to view the success stories, Heres the skinny on my first indoor grow.

Info: 5x5x8 room w/ great air transfer, heat and power (120 & 220v outlets due to the fact it used to be a wash room). Lighting right now consists of 2 F20T12 plant growth florescent tubes (OTT-LITE OTL2012p) in single tube fixtures 7" apart and angled for optimum linear effect. This plant is the lone survivor of 4 that I rescued from an aquaintance that was abusing them. I know where the seeds came from (an old friend) but he cannot remember which strain of what (he thinks its an Indica) he gave this dude. Anyway here are the first 4 pics and I accept all advice, critique and any general help.

This is week three of the grow (under my watch) and I have started a "journal" on this site if you care to watch the progress. Thank you for checking them out and peace to all. Keep it green folks.

They look pretty good, look like they're stretched a tad bit.

A rescue plant,,, they are always the best plants, its like they know that you saved them,,, kinda like a rescue dog........... Plant looks O.K. just keep it goin.....good luck.....

your plant looks ok a lil small for 3 weeks and a lil stretched.. maybe try moving the lights closer as close to the plant as possible w/o burning and add a lil 5 dollar fan to help fatten up the stem and get some circulation under the leaves :0 other than that color looks great and she looks nice n healthy good luck!

Thanks folks...I pushed the little girl back up to about an inch from the tubes...Here is what the setup looks like right now. The halogen spot is just to warm the soil from about 9am-11am and from 1pm-3pm (I know this can cause fungal issues but I think I have that covered). Thanks for the input and keep it coming...can someone tell me what this rep+ thingie is? There are all these rating systems on here and I would like to utilize the sites features but the explanation I found kindof confuzzzed me. Thanx again.

nice man, those look about the same height as mine when they were flowering, ya, they are a tad stretched, but thats all good, i have heard nothing but bad comments when it comes to fluoros, but u should look into cfls, energy efficient, and very good in veg

The big black blob in the lower right of thos pics is a pretty huge oscillator so I have it directed away from her...Due to the narrow base of her main stem (I'm not really sure what that is called on cannibis...stalk?.) Im alittle spooked about giving her a direct breeze...This is fun. I havent grown anything since 1986 and that was an occasionally checked patch gone wild. Done left it up to Momma Nature. That was a great autumn.

Well then,,, welcome to your biggest addiction,,,, I say this because everyone I talk to has said the same thing,,, this is an addiction more than just a hobbie,,with that said I need to go to my friends house and check on my ladies,, Im pimpin them out nowadays..........

ROFLMFAO....your "Brian" quote and pic just made me loose it...Whenever my 18yr old son is around with his buddies trippin balls I have to use that quote...If they have been boomin I can usually get a half hour of histerical laughter out of em...As far as these tubes go I trusted my Momma and used that brand and temp / spectrum. They did save the "Purple Nurple" and got her out of her near death experience. Once the bottom 3rd of her stem gets sturdy enough I'm thinkin of doin the HID thing..I have the space and It is my house so why the F*&$ not? I just cant find a CFL (or group of CFLs)that will pull off the light energy I kindof want. The cost is ultra attractive tho.

Thank you GDG...she is humpin the lights now and is really pretty...minus her long leg rofl. Heres one of this a.m.'s pics and a link to my journal...I put no less than 2 pics up each day between 5 & 6 a.m. (MST)..Todays post has a bit of a story about last night that almost involved the POLICE..Check it out.
