It should go 1, 3, 5, 7, 9, 11 each set should add two more leaves to each side and that's how you know ur shit is on track bro. Thats each set of fan leaves.

looks like a healthy little plant. what type of lighting are you using? Also be aware that whatever you brought from outside is coming in with your plant. so if you see ANY bugs moving around in the soil at this point make sure you take care of them asap.

Well he was outside so its possible i might have lost a leaf to a bug. I'll take a closer look tomorrow and make sure she's coming in right. I have been checking him periodically to make positive the light is working right, it's a cheap 40w fluorescent which I intend to replace with something better. and I've been looking for bugs and what not when I check him

yeah if your going to use cfl bulbs go to homedepot or lowes and get a few daylight spectrum bulbs. Because honestly if you just doing a small grow like this with cfl and only one plant no need to go getting an expensive 150 watt cfl the higher the wattage the less lumen per watt ratio anyways so more of the lower wattage bulbs surrounding the plant could be just as efficient and way cheaper.

Ill definitely look into getting 2 or 3 more small bulbs. I never plan to grow more than a plant or two so I figured im not in dire need of anything too pricey

pretty much. But i would recommend getting the highest wattage bulbs you can get for cheap, cfls are only so effective up to a few inches so you'll find yourself needing more and more to cover the plant's growth if you get a few of the 23 or 27 watt bulbs. stick with the 40's if you can itll save you allot of space in the long run.
