Just picked up some items. New to growing.

I already have a thread made, but its about a different subject and I wont ever get any answers if I post in that thread, so hope no one minds me posting here.

Ok. So I picked up some things, some of which Im not so sure I need to got the right thing. Here is what I got


Some pH testing things, all I was able to find and not sure if either is for what I need.


Something called Super Bloom, had seen others using things like Big Bloom/Grow Big/etc and figured this was something similar.





Some random Plant Food, looked like it may be useful.







New Lights, 100w Bright Whites. Curious if I should just add all 4 of them in and keep my 2 125w Soft Whites or just take out the soft whites?



This was the only digital Therm/Hygrometer they had



and grabbed this moisture/light/ph meter.




Also grabbed a 2outlet digital timer for the lights and some 6in Peat Pots.


Im really just wanting to make sure I have the right things. So all feedback is greatly appreciated! Still looking for any other misc. advice also! =D Im gunna try to find a plant store in town to buy more and better nutes also.

Looks like you've got a lot of pretty good stuff. The only item I'll mention is you might want to consider a different brand of cfl's than Bright Effects. They don't have the best reputation for reliability.

you've got some stuff i got like super bloom which is hella good and the ph/light/moisture thing that sucks ass.

Ok, well Im gunna keep them for now. I plan to buy some T5's or something of the sort, ill just use these as side/bottom lights.

Which stage should I start using the Super Bloom and other nutes? a few weeks in?

since the super bloom has hella phosphorus, i would say hold off until it really needs it but im no pro. i started using a little bit of it the 1st week into flowering on my indica and just used a half-strength today. my buds are really pumping in the 2nd week of flowering. on my sativa, however, im still mixing my super bloom with miracle gro since its still growing.

Using the above moisture meter, anyone know what level of moisture I should try and have it at?

Sorry i cant answer your question about the moisture meter. But did you get this stuff in lidl or aldi? Just curious..

Super cheap stores in the uk (and europe?)

I dont think all this stuff would come from lidl or aldi,

they're supermarkets not garden centres

Oh, im from the US so none of them stores here, that I know of. I actually got everything from Lowes.

both of your nutes have more phosphorous than nitrogen. phosphorous is better for flowering, and notriogen is better for vegging because it helps foliage (leaves) grow. i guess use the shultz for vegging for now, but when you go to the store again maybe get something thats higher in nitrogen for vegging, just my opinion...the super bloom will be great for flowering though

Thanks a ton! Just the kind of thing Im needing to know! Any other helpful similar advice? I need to find a better garden store in my town. We have no Hydro stores :/ and Lowes doesnt cut it, as those were the only 2 nutes they had (that I saw anyway)

if you dont have a hydro store, look for a local nursery maybe? you could check walmart if you have one.

There has to be a Garden store somewhere around here. Ill try and find one tomorrow as im working. Thanks again.
