just potted, advice needed

Hi,

I've just planted a few seeds after germinating them for a few days, i've got a 250w dual spectrum bulb and 6 pots, I was just looking for advice as to how far away the light should be from the pots (how high above) in an indoor box.

any advice would be helpful, how much water should I give the seeds for the first few days to ensure that they pop up?

Start out at 1 foot, hold your had just above the pot & if the light burns your hand, move the light up another 6 inches. A 250w should be able to go as close as a foot without scorching your plant & (or) the pot it's in but use the hand test because once you get going & get some more powerful lights, it comes in handy.

Seedlings can be easily burned by a HID light. I would start at 24" and come closer as they develop a couple nodes. Better safe than sorry.
