just some questions

hey ima noob at this site but i had some questions that i wanted aswered by people that can grow marijuana well. right now im still in college and once i get out i hope to move to cali within five years. i know ill get a good job so im not gonna risk going out and tryin to start a huge operation but i did want to grow for a couple years before i moved so i could get good at it. i want to know how many indoor plants would it take to grow approximately 1 pound for someone who is beginning. also how many plants could one 1000 watt light produce and if i had a 10 by 10 room completely set up with about two moveable hps lamps and was doing about three cycles a year. how much weed would that put out. i really want to try to just get good at growing first so if that would be more than enough for just a few people along with a nice amount of excess just tell me. also, how much do you think it would take to set up a grow room like that

All of your questions i can answer with " it depends " haha but ill try help ya out.

Well this depends on what style of grow your looking to set up, Sea of Green, ScrOG, stadium, vertical... etc. if you have a decent cupboard and you aim for 1.2 - 1.5 oz per square foot with a screen then you will nead at least 10 feet square. you could pull this off with 9 - 10 nice plants spread over the canopy.

although screens are a bit more difficult to manage you could always just up the plant number to about 3 per square foot and just run a nice sea under your light. its just up to you really.

Read the styles and techniques on RUI and you might have a bit better of an idea.
