Just started flowering, help need starting again

Hello everyone,

I’m almost two weeks into flowering and after sexing I’m down to one plant.* I started with 5 plants and I was hoping to get at least 2-3 females.

I’d like to start another cycle but first I have some questions. I’d like to take some clones and I also have some seeds of a different variety.

I’m wondering is it possible or advisable to start again in the same room while my 1 plant is under 12/12 HPS. Or should I just wait until this plant is finished so I can go back to 18/6 with my MH bulb? I’d like to get started now, but I really don’t have a second room to devote to growing. I could try to manually move the main plant into a dark room every 12 hours, but that is not too practical.

Is there any harm starting the veg cycle on 12/12 with a HPS bulb? I assume it would just slow things down, but it would probably still be quicker than if I wait until after I harvest.

Anything else I should be aware of? Any and all tips are appreciated.

If I were you, I would put that one female on 24/0 and start your other plants. In 4 weeks take clones. Move your 1st female (now a mother) to her own spot with 18/6 lighting. in 4 more weeks (eight total) your clones should be ready for 12/12 and your seeds sould now be huge plants that will give you nice yield put them 12/12 now too. Now in 6-8 more weeks you will have a perpetual harvest started because you have a mother ready to give you plenty of girls.

I just got my first harvest today and personally I wish I had started a mother and taken the delay up front, here's why:
I have a mother and some clones going now that will be another 10 weeks, while I've got herb drying and it will be ready to smoke in a few weeks, If I had started a perpetual harvest my next harvest would be much sooner, and the one after that and so on. Ultimately you need at least 2 separate small grow spaces to keep the mom and clones going on 18/6 and your bloom room on 12/12. This also saves you from needing to buy seeds very often.
