im realizing now i cant really do Flood and drain since my res is 60litres for a a 4x4 so only a bit of the 5.5inch cubes get wet at the very bottom, whats a good cheap drip system that i could set up to put over a 5.5inch pot?

Either buy a cheap aquarium water pump and some tubing (shaped like a ring) with holes in to drip feed them, or manually feed them water until the roots hit the res.

What are the height, width and depth of your tray?
And do you have also an external reservoir as well?
And what are the height, width and depth of this one?
Does your tray have a cover?
Are the plants only in the 5.5 cubes?
Are the cubes placed on the bottom?

Do you have pics of your set-up?

More information will give you better answers.

I've got a proper flood and drain set up already; just I'm realizing floraflex drip system is probably what I want to upgrade to in the future and to set up the amount I want itll cost alot more money then I thought

Why is floraflex an upgrade?
Will you yield more?
Will you have less work?
Will the quality of your yield be better?

Just fill the rest of your tray with well rinsed clay pellets(hydrotron)......................problem solved.
