well....... i assume from your post you are a first time grower.. so i would recommend starting with a few "regular" seeds first... as practice... until you get things some what figured out... gotta crawl before you can walk...

now for the other part of the question about system for you... there is a LOT of things you need to consider..

1) budget

2) room size (for lighting and air circulation purposes)

3) organic or hydro

4) how easy it will be to control environmental factors such as heat and heat removal, smell, humidity, air movement and circulation, ect.

5) style of grow you want to do (sog/scrog style or large plants... single room grow or perpetual style with seperate veg/flower rooms..)

a few of those answers can really help get a better sense of what you want and the needs you will have...

well...as far as your indoor setup goes, it really boils down to budget. Do you have any lights or anything yet?? or just trying to get advice on what to get??
their is alot fo things to consiter, mosly what the other guy pointed out. In my opinion i would spend as much money as i could spare on your indoor setup. In the long run you will be happy you did.
And if this is your first time growing i recommend going with soil, as hydro can be somewhat complicated to a newcommer.
and with the seed, if you have a nice size room, and big enough light i would do as many of the regular seed you have, and maybe a white widow or 2, just to start off with.

I guess you knew you would get conflicting answers. I'd say you will end up with hydro so may as well start there. Do a simple dwc system with lots of bubbles that doesn't rely on submersible pumps and feeder tubes. Build a light setup around 42w cfls.

here.. ill make it simple

600w/1000w hps... 1 for every 7 to 10 plants your growing

carbon filter... ideally a large can filter with a high output fan... and no sissy 4" fan.. you'll want a large fan..

and intake and an exhaust fan.. the intake fan can be smaller than the exhaust fan.. but you want them to be able to recycle the air in the room at least every 5 minutes.. so you will need a fan that can move enough cfm's (cfm stands for cubic feet per minute) to do that.. to get that take your rooms length x width x heighth..

a couple other fans for moving air around

duct to run exhaust work

if you want to go with either a dwc set up or a ebb and flow.. depending on if you want large plants or small plants you can use any size system... get the system that best fits your needs in that department.. they make both systems with individual sites so you can grow large plants.. they make smaller ones for a sog type grow.. or you can custom build one to your own specifications...

if you go with dirt start out with 5 gallon buckets... you can start your seeds in them, or if you want you can start in dixie cups and move to them.. but you'll want large 5 gallon buckets to end with.. you can use regular 5 gallon buckets with holes drilled in the bottom or 5 gallon pots.. either one is fine... make sure you get GOOD soil (fox farms is great)... if you cant find that get the most expensive soil you can find that does not contain time released nutes... also get yourself some perlite.. about 25 to 30 percent of your soil mix should be perlite, so buy accordingly...

either way you go make sure you get yourself some good nutes.. there are tons out there.. 1, 2, and 3 part systems... do some research and some reading into what other people use to find out what sounds/works best for you...

get some timers for your lights

get some white poly or mylar to wrap the room in to reflect light

you may need to get a dehumidifier humidity..

get a ph test kit and a ppm meter so you can know what your nute solution/water ph is and how strong your solution is... you may also need a soil test kit if you go with soil...

i think that pretty much covers it... now.. based on what i just said how does that sound?? again your budget will play a big part.. your looking at a decent chunk of change.. but there are some corners you can cut if you want to.. it just depends on what you are looking for in the end and how much you have to put into it..
