Just transplanted

I have 3 lemon skunks and i believe one green poison auto in 5 gallons buckets that were just transplanted yesterday. The problem is the day before there was a storm and my babies(2 weeks with little sun)got slammed so my moms adds topsoil and it freaked me out so I asked her to transplant it into happy frog. So she transplants them but the rootline is below the dirt a couple inches actually. Is this ok? Or should I do something.? It seems all packed in. Oh and for 2 weeks I didn't fertilize or anything they came from styrofoam cups do I was worried about the extra soil and the potting soil I had previously was not enough or dead.

I had them on my widowsill and outdoors but very little sun in 2 weeks. They were all dropped over 2 days ago. Now I think they are buried too deep.

I'm not sure I understand what you are talking about...

Basically you're afraid the seedling is too deep in the soil? They will be fine as long as they aren't completely buried. Actually, when I start seed in soil I start them in quart pots about halfway full, that way I can add more soil as they grow. This is beneficial to the plant so don't stress. It will develop more roots on the buried parts as it grows. I'd keep adding soil as they begin to stretch and grow.
You dropped them on the floor?
Do you still have them in the cups? You'll need to poke a hole on the bottom for drainage
How big are the cups?
You don't need to feed seedlings for around the first two weeks, so you're fine. It's probably best that you didn't. You could probably go ahead and feed it a weak nutrient solution. I'm not familiar with happy frog soil, does it have nutrients in it or is it a light mixture?

Make sure the buckets have drainage. Don't transplant them again, just leave them alone especially the auto.

What are you talking about "the roof is below the dirt"? :confused:

Oh I see, you came back and changed it... You WANT the rootline below the soil......
I'm not trying to be mean... I just feel like I'm assuming a great deal of knowledge here... Have you ever grown anything before?

the cups were too small, i didnt have the red party cups and since i only grew gourds my mom helped with the soil since she gardens all the time but when i told her i had to go an get the red party cups she didn't listen. I thought my plants were going to die because of not enough soil. next time will not rely on her. I will just do it in the ground.

Post a pic. I wonder if they are too small for the pot and there is so much water in 5 gal of spoil that they got overwatered.

You know you don't have to use red party cups, right? They make pots for specifically for growing plants...
So there was NOT enough soil? I'm confused again...
If your mom gardens all the time and is cool with you growing and you only grow gourds... I'd probably trust her to know how to plant a seedling.
