K & G's new LEGAL CAVE!!!

So, there's good news and bad news...

The ones in rockwool were doing SQUAT...so, pitched 'em!
The ones that hadn't come up yet in coco weren't gonna, so...pitched 'em!

That was the bad news...the good news is that the three survivors in coco, namely:

• Alien Rock Candy
• Permanent Marker
• Grandaddy Purps

All got transplanted to solo cups, and given their first (less than half strength) feed!


It was pretty cold in there (about 65F), so I added a small space heater:


That has it up to 73 - 75F, just about right!

Lastly, I decided to try another six, namely:

• Fifth Element
• God's Gift
• White Widow (the last of this strain)
• Fruity Pebbles
• OG Kush
• Blackberry Moon Rock

I'm not going to do the 1.5" rockwool cubes. I'll send off for the circular cut holders, and put those in the cloner, instead of the normal pieces that go in those holes. When I get some roots just barely sticking out, I can get those in DWC buckets, with a dripper to help it along, initially!

Forgive the stupid question, but...my previous experience is all with soil...well, the soil is NOT reusable...if you clean out the root ball really well, is the 70/30 recyclable at all? post a reply, let me know...Thanks in advance

Just put some fresh myco or some fresh dirt.plant some grass or shit on top let it sprout, kill it and soil is ready

How much myco would you add to a bag of FFOFS?

I looked at the product page for one...looks like, for a full bag of FFOFS, it would be about 15 tablespoons...not bad at all!

Lotsa stuff going on in da cave - though it almost went to the skies last night. Tornadoes to the south of us, tornadoes to the north, here I am...gettin' stoned in the basement with you!

Now that I have the fan direction going the right way, there is a little better evidence that it's pulling out air - there's a little concave to the tent! I have to get that intake hose connected...

Water last night, nothing tonight, feed (nutrients for older, water for sprouts) tomorrow!

Watering night, and transplanting night! Three of the new babies already had a nice size tap root coming out the bottom of the Spider Farmer tray, so I set them in Solo cups, and gave them their first watering. Tomorrow is "fallow" night (no food or water), Tuesday night I'll give those three their first taste of nutrients!

On the "big three", the 4th set of nodes are barely peeking out - which means I have a pretty short internode length. I really want the root structure to start setting firm in these cups, hoping that happens soon. My hope is to have those in 6" pots by mid-April, and the others up that way by mid-May. First clones should be taken right around Memorial Day! I got rockwool plugs (not cubes) that will fit in the cloner, and want to see if I can raise up the first set of clones in DWC...we'll see, still kinda nervous about that!

Feeding night. I ditched the Fruity Pebbles. Not sure what the heck was going on with that plant, but it wasn't worth kissing that frog to see if it turned into a princess....y'know?

I know - I have 7 strains going. However, I have a friend who's willing to make me a deal on some clones, and I may get some to just grow them out, and not clone them! That way, I have an earlier harvest!

Ordinarily, I would have waited for tomorrow to post...but...I did a thing A friend had a bunch of clones that didn't sell (he's a licensed vendor of such) and so he gave me a heck of a deal...

First, had to make some "dirt"...coco/perlite, moistened with Humboldt Secret Week 2 Juice, then get ready for transplants...


Made the juice, used about 1.5 cups to a bowl of coco/perlite (the Mykos went in at transplant time)

5ml Clonex
4ml Hydrogen Peroxide (dissuade other growth)


What's that thing at the bottom? An aquarium heater, to keep the water at about 80 degrees!

The clones are now in 6" pots. The GG4 is still a little on the "shortie pie" side, but the others are ready to top - and, I want to test out my cloning skills!

These three will be up-potted tomorrow, and then cloned (probably on Wednesday or Thursday). The clones will go in rockwool round plugs, after the plugs have been soaked in the cloner and then been squeezed a little. Once the roots come out of the plug, they'll go directly into a 5" cube, and I'll hook it up to a dripper feeding system. when the roots start coming out the cube about an inch, I'll transplant to a hydro bucket!

As you can tell, I'm having a LOT of fun with this!! I didn't realize how much I missed growing! I did order some Humboldt Secret Tree Trunk, but I'm not going to have these going on those nutrients all the way through flower. I'm kinda hooked on the HWG channel, so I ordered some GH nutrients to switch over to. They're less expensive...

Okay, it's been a while since I posted. Things have...ummm...blossomed! Not flowered - yet, but blossomed! Before I started any "outside the tent" veg areas, I had a minor problem - 3 inches of water in the basement! Fortunately, the intrusion ended only about an inch in on the Spider-Farmer tent, and went down in about an hour. No damage to the basement, as a whole...whew!

I clipped a BUNCH of clones tonight - I got a couple from each of the Gorilla Glue #4's. The one that roots first, the one I took it from is going to be my "mom" GG4.
