I spotted the very first couple of pistils today. The big LSTed White widow is my pride and joy. I had to tie down 4 more branches on her today. She should end up with a bunch of tops. Under 1000watts I think that one plant by itself should produce a 1/4 lbs. I have 2 150 watt hps lamps that I'm not using now. Should i hang those 2 sideways on both sides to get some more light to the stuff under the canopies? Would it help enough to matter? That would bump it up to 1300 watts total. Also, is White Widow really one of the most potent strains there is or is it just a lotta hype around this strain? When you buy from dealers they always give you a strain name but u never know what ur really gettin. I don't know if i've ever really smoked WW b4. Theres a lotta stuff out there that says WW is the best and thats y I bought this strain. I hope i'm not disappointed. I'm expecting it to be something special. Does anyone know?

Everyone has a few scattered pistils on them except for the little Exile. Hopefully it will show soon. I think I have a pretty good handle on it. They are all looking great except for that wild ass KK which is growing and showing pistils but still looks crazy. The KK is still getting strait RO water with no nutes. The other ladies are enjoying a small dose of molasses and a couple drops of Botanicares Pro Bloom (per gallon). In a couple more weeks I'll start adding the Black Magic.

Thanx man! I like to get feedback so i can learn how to be a better grower (especially after investing $500 bucks on upgrading my lighting system) but I haven't had many visitors lately except for good ol' CD. Thanx for stopping buy! I can't wait to see what my yield is gonna be from these 5 plants when it's over with. I can't even begin to guess what it's gonna be. The BBG and the bigger of the 2 WW are gonna have a BUNCH of tops! The fan leaves on the smaller WW are friggin huge! So pretty! I'm hoping to get a pound from all 5 combined. Do you think thats anywhere near accurate?

I would shoot for more around 8-10 oz's but once you get shit down a pound is definitely possible! Shit who knows you might even get it! I just try to shoot a little low so I'm not expecting too much... 2 oz's a plant sounds great for you first grow under this light but it is very possible that you could end up with 10-16 oz's. I guess we will know in a few months

Hey smelly. Can you give me some tips on how to read the plants to know when to water and when not to? This is my first time growing in 5 gallon containers and I feel I'm struggling a bit with knowing exactly how often to water. I must be doing okay bc they all look great except the retarded KK which ain't looked right for a month now, ever since I burnt her. She is growing and producing pistils but still looks crazy. Anyway, watering tips would be great!

man those are some nice looking plants, im a first time grower you should gimmy some tips
+rep for stopping by! This is my fourth grow and a lot of things are different for me this time. I have a much bigger lamp this time (1000watts), and I'm using 5 gallon pots instead of the 3 gallon ones I used for my first 3 grows. This is also my first time growing with seeds that I purchased from a breeder. My advice is to just read through a lotta different grow journals in here. There is so much info on this site you just have to invest a lotta time reading through all the casual convo's to pick up all the growing information. I also bought some books on growing and read them cover to cover. Still, the best teacher is experience. You gotta start growing and learn from ur mistakes. Thats what I've done anyway.
