It finally let me give u some more rep CD & thanx for poppin in. Yeah, my last 2 grows I used no ferts whatsoever in veg or flower. I did give the Black magic to one of my 2 plants each time durring flower though, BUT THATS IT. The cheap miracle grow soil I use is full of nutes. Says it will feed plants for up to 6 months. Here is a picture from my last grow and this is the plant that recieved no nutes and no BM. Pure water from seed to harvest.

i mean theres nothing wrong with playing with the lights and time, but basic light cycles are 18/6 veg, 12/12 for flowering. a lot of people do the 12/12 from seeds and see sex in as little as 15 days. i just like the basic cycle, when i get better at this, then maybe i'll play with things, but right now just like you, this is my 4th grow and first time buying real seeds, so basic shit for this grow, light cycle, nutes, everything, LoL.
 
Hell ya this is dope I was wondering the same thing I'm at 20/4 with mine and only did so cause I didn't know if it would be better 24/0 or atleast some ddark period so I just went with4 probably bump to 6 hrs dark about va week befor I flower. And also same here with first time buying seeds. Def subscribed
 
thanks mass, that was a good lookin plant there, no nutes huh? LoL. im using jungle growth potting mix, its the first time i've used a soil mix with nutes in it. thats pretty cool man. i am also using grandma's molasses for the first time and from what ive read, you can use it from seedling all the way to flushing, guess we'll find out. what strain did you get remi? also, heres something about light cycles from rollitup himself.

Why do you need DARK PERIOD light cycles
The dark cycle is very important to growing marijuana. Respiration ( this is when the marijuana plants are making energy from sugar and oxygen) continues in the dark period but at a much slower rate, almost independent of available oxygen because the leaves of the weed are not making oxygen in the dark.

In the dark, there is a shift from leaf production to root production as the leaves transfer excess stored energy down to the branches and to the roots. Therefore, some dark time allows for better root structures.

Another article will be written on why a 24-hour light cycle is not the way to supercharge root growth of your marijuana plants.

I have the brand new digi 1000watter also and here I go messing things up by bringing the nutes back into play. DAMNIT! Should I flush the soil or just leave it the hell alone for now and let the soil dry out?

I Did 18/6 for 3 weeks then went to 12/12 and i have seedlings growing under 12/12 for a week now and they are looking nice. Have pics if you want two are White widow and Two are northern lights. You should just back of to 12/12 and it will flower when ready and yes you should flush the soil throroughly but make sure to let ALL excess water drain off. And after that leave the soil alone for a good 5 days or so let it really dry out or you will indeed get gnat with miracle grow.
 
Now aint this a bitch! I went and bought a $20 digital timer tonight so I could start 18/6 to give the girls a "night time" and the timer doesn't work strait outta the box. Guess I'll be returning that to Ace Hardware tomorow!

yep watch out for bugs in that brown bag miracle grow
 
My only reason for the tin foil was to reflect the light coming down, back up to the undersides of the leaves. you will notice in the newer pics that it's not there anymore.
 
yeah I've definately had the gnats from MG soil before but it's never bothered me in the past cause I keep lots of sticky pest strips in the room with them. Little boogers seem to go right to 'em then BAM, there are stuck and dead!
 
I flushed the big girl. I sent a gallon and a half of RO water through her soil so hopefully that should have removed anything in there that was making her unhappy. I won't water her again before friday. I'll let her get good and dried out and she will only be recieving pure RO water for the remainder of her veg. I'll exchange the timer today so I can go from 24/0 to 18/6. hopefully she will be looking better in a couple days. thanx 4 all the help. +rep to everyone it will let me give it to!

oh ok makes sense, so if u dont use it anymore i take it that it didnt work that good, or did it?
