Keep the runt?

So i have 3 healthy growing DJ Short Blueberry plants and 1 runt. Here is the runt compared to one of the others.

They were all planted on 5/23. The runt had a tough time breaking off its shell and has been growing slowly ever since. Should i keep it? Im in a state that i legally can only have a certain number of plants and try to keep within my limits at all times so every plant counts. However i would like to get a male so i can cross breed with this strain as these are the only regs i have at the moment. Worth keeping? Apprecaite the input.

unless it is a runt for a reason, like root aphids...? I find it best to get all unwanted plants, disease leaves, etc. out of your grow space. help cut down the variables, it can be tuff enough..

Ok well maybe ill leave this guy alone and see if he picks up the pace a little bit. I dont think hes slow from any disease. Who knows maybe itll be a keeper?

Also to anyone whos grown dj shorts blueberry, should i top them? Do they respond well to topping? I plan on making one of these a mother to keep and a male to cross with. I like topping at a younger stage then LST the rest the way. What do ya think?

It looks hungry. I had a couple do exactly the same thing with my current grow. This was when they were just little and not yet being fed, and all the others at the same age looked great and were much bigger. So I gave them a quarter strength feed and within the next couple of days they took off. They're now my biggest, healthiest plants. Don't give up on the runt just yet. It could just need a little kickstart with some food. At least that's what happened with mine.

I started my current grow with 5 plants, all regs. I almost pulled my runt about a month into veg. By the second week of flower the runt was the only plant left. Now she is going strong, and I would have been kicking myself in the ass if I had tossed her. You're rolling the dice, but you won't know unless you keep it around.

Hey thanks for the reassurance everyone! I think my little runt is starting to come around now. Was stunted for a bit there but seems its on its way to picking back up. this weed isnt going anywhere!

Dam how I wish I could grow outside....
I've never been able to kill off a runt either. It will probably always be a little less in performance than the others but still give you something in the end.

My current runt is a Dwarf Low Flyer (DLF) and this has been the most amazing runt ever.

started in rock wool, and sprouted on April 14th (DLF is in the middle)

Then it just stopped growing, after 10 days I gave up and pulled it out of the rock wool but noticed the root was alive & healthy

So I poke a hole in the soil of a house plant the stuck it in the hole, a little water and said "do or die" bitch...so she grew

damn thing was so small and only had one cotyledon which was half covered by the seed membrane...but she grew

DLF (on left) ....she is now a good 6 inches taller than the previous DLF's I have grown in the same 2L hempy pop bottles

Just wanted to update a little. My runt blueberry is starting to catch up! I topped the others to slow down vertical growth and let the little one catch up. Thanks again everyone!

My runts are only 6 inches off being the same height as the biggest plants now. Nowhere near the width though.
