Keeping flowering plants in the dark?

Hey folks,

I'm urging for help with my plants!! They're doing really well: 3 beautiful lowryders with about 3 weeks left to flower.

My problem is: the landlord is coming for property inspectation, so at the moment they're doing their dark cycle in a big box. The landlord is expected to still be around when they're supposed to be back on their light period...

Would it stress the flowering if i keep them in the box for a couple of hours before getting out in the light again, and then just continue with 18 hour cycles?

A friend said that prolonging the dark cycle won't stress them as much as it would if prolonging the light. Is that correct?
Don't want to spoil these, coz they're lovely!!!

Plz someone, let me know asap, otherwise I have to find a friend who can babysit em!

keep them in the dark until you can get them out into the light.. when you would normally turn your lights off do so.. and then turn them back on at your nomal time and continue the cycle as normal...

so you mean it's ok to shorten the light period with a couple of hours?

thought lowriders were a auto flower?
anyway on day of extra darkness wont stress them too much

If they are Lowryders they ARE auto's. The two hours of darkness will not harm them, but be sure when you put them back on schedule that your start/stop times are not changed.

I'm running 18/6, and yes they're auto's so it's not hermie I'm worried about. Just that i didn't know how a longer dark cycle would affect the bud growthk, since they're very light demanding these LR's, and they need another 3 weeks or so..

Yea you will be safe! If anything it will just hasten the flowering a liiiittle bit. But your friend is right, prolonged light to a flowering plant is worse than prolonged dark.
