Im a newbie and have one grow complete(although both were male) simply using fox farm trio. I go soil but accidently ordered hydro veg grow big..I vegged 10 weeks with bag seed. I am now waiting on ak48 (nirvana) and purple bud (herbies). Anyone have any suggestions to add to this regiment?

A lot of peoplee like the fox farm line. I personally would go a different route. What kind of soil do you use. Have you ever thought of building a soil with everything the plant needs In it. Subcool explains it the best, our plants like humans don't just like one thing to eat they like a whole buffet of food. Although synthetic fertilizers usually have everything your plants need but they don't stay suspended in the rhizosphere that long. With a good soil mixture all you need is clean water and some compost teas which cost pennies compared to all the bottled nutes.
But like I Said a lot of people love that fox farm trio. Ive used so many different nutes over the years and many people will disagree with me but it's ok that you got the hydro nutes instead. You saw how they vegged your males.
Just keep an eye on salt build up and PH. Build an all organic soil with organic soil amendments such as earth worm castings (EWC), kelp meal, alfalfa meal, rock dusts.
1. Go out and buy a bag of earth worm castings and some unsulfured mollases
2 buy some distilled water pour about three and a half-4 gallons in five gallon bucket.
3 fill a paint strainer with a couple large handfulls of worm doo. And a little mollases.
4 If you don't have a fish tank bubbler or hydro 02 pump get one at walmart for ten bucks. Along with some air stones
5. Take the aforementioned paint strainer bag filled with ewc and tie out to the handle off your five gallon bucket in a way that the worm castings are a little more then halfway submerged in the water.
6. Put in your airstones (this should actually be done right after you put the water into the bucket) if your using tap water wait a couple days for chlorine to evaporate. I like to add at least two or three airstones so it stays oxygenated.
7. Watch a you tube video on making AACT with EWC. Also check out something called boogie brew. Ive been using it on my lemon kush baby girls there loving it.

Your soil will be packed with beneficial microbes. All you will need to do as far as fertilizer is the AACT, maybe tweak it with some sea kelp or guano for P-K when your ladies are flowering.
I want to recommend a book to you before you jump into the bottled nutrients. Its called teaming with microbes by Jeff Lowden
I use something they call supersoil. It was perfected by subcool from TGA seeds who you can find in the organics or no till forums.
Try to stay away from miracle grow and big box store brands (not to say they dont have some good products like kellogs) I use roots organics, FoxFarm Happyfrog, ocean forest, kellogs, black gold potting mix.
I highly recommend checking out subcools recipe for super soil. It's all over you tube by now. And also read that book. It changed my whole perspective on growing. And I was a Hydroponic Nerd!!! But organics is just easier and cheaper once you get going. Plus better product. Some people will disagree but mainly because they just spent about a hundred dollars on the newest "Phat jungle juice, magic bud crystallizer booster 0-30-50" or whatever AN and GH is calling there stuff nowadays.
So youtube supersoil monstergardens. That's the best recipe i think but you can always tweak it and try new stuff. And read teaming with microbes... my best advice. Are you outdoor or indoor?
