Keeping Mother Plants for Cloning.

I was wondering which would be the best method of keeping my mother plants alive and happy.
In a indoor setup what would be the best?
Soil or Hydro?
MH or HPS or CFL?

not being a dick, but you should google your question. there are many discussions about it. different answers for different situations.

Fella's,Mom's are grown in soil if they have any value that is.Mix/Soil is much more forgiving.Ya dont want them to die because of a pump/timer accident.@ Fatboy RIU is the Google of growing. There is no such thing as a stupid question.

yes you can. put them inside. 10/14 light 10 hours on 14 off. ive experienced that those light cycles gives it enough light to stay alive but not enough to force it to flower or grow more than you want it to.

just keep it in veg .. a few cfl's will be sufficent .. i use a couple of 2ft florecents on mine ... feed it lightly ... trim when you have to if it gets too big..

10/14 will most certainly cause flowering.

I really question your experience.

I started with a 54w T5 bud dropped down to a couple of 14w T5s. FFOF for soil and a 18/6 light schedule. I've kept a mother for up to 18 months that way. Only reason I got rid of her was because I had extra clones I could turn into a new mother.
