Some legend posted this on the forum and iv been spamming it ever since lol. Look at the calcium and magnesium range, Bingo xD
I wouldn’t flush straight water in coco.
Run at least cal mag and a little nutes.

To much fluctuation along with starving them with imbalanced nutrient ratios slow down productivity and can cause other deficiencies in the process.

Plenty of runoff and citric acid will go a long way.

yep i think i have my issue. Neut lockout due to low PH. effected neutes are CAL and MAG . even though im supplementing. those nutes are locked out.

Note if your in coco the caution exchange coco like to rob the plants of cal and mag make sure you use a good amount. It holds on to it.

im going back to white widdow after these clones are done. They are getting old as far as plant age. AK 48. Some custom nirvana strain. I had really good luck with WW

Ran a bunch of plain water through plants. Then ran a bunch of PH 6.2 feed through and corrected the PH from 5.3 to 5.7. I will continue to correct upwards, but didn't want to make to large of a change right away and shock them even more. With the next feed i'll see if i can bring runoff to 6.0 so that my plants can start absorbing more cal+mag.

I want to say now that i think about this issue. It all started when i started getting better at growing. My first few grows i only used A+B and NEVER had any PH issues. The only issues i had in the beginning were neut burn when they were young, and over watering which doesn't happen anymore. I started using CANNA BOOST and it must swing the PH when you feed it the same each time. I always hit the mark at 5.8PH every feed and i think it just starts to drop lower and lower and i never checked it. I always thought i was overfeeding or burning, i would back off and it wouldn't solve the issue, they would burn and id be forced to harvest. I think I have much better knowledge from this thread and have learned a lot. Thanks to everyone! will keep you all posted in a week or so. Will be the first time ive fixed a plant if it works.

I would guess given the pics and timing that its not a nutrient deficiency and is a build up of salts as a few people said which is locking out nutrients and fucking your root zone ph.

You looking at it as a ph problem but that is a side effect of the real cause.

Without knowing the run off EC its a best guess, but its probably the most common problem in coco.

Regardless best bet is a flush of low ec with ph to counter the direction its gone.
In future water often and don't let it dry out , doesn't have to be soaking but doesn't want to be dry.

What is your method of preparing your coco? I am doing my first coco run and I water twice daily. The pots are less than 3 gallons and only some autumn color effect going on because I think they could use a bit more water.

lets hear what coco you used and how you prepare it?

Its canna mate so its good to go straight out the bag.

It kind of seemed to me like the coco needed to be precharged and buffered or something with Cal mag. I still rinse my coco and sift it with Ro, add calmag and base nutes to bring the ppm around 500. I am using canna coco bricks now but I still did this with the bagged stuff

after charging the coco I then add ph up/down(typically up) until it is 6.0. I then let it sit in that water until the ph stabilizes which I’m patient for and will sometimes change. After everything’s ready I drain the water and use it

I am new to coco so I’ve been doing this all with no problems, but if it’s not needed I would love to not have to do all that shit!!! I hate going through that process

Imma cocoforcannabis aholic. Its where I learned gobs.

After 4 yrs of coco runs.
For quality prebuffered non-brick coco, here's my quick method

1. Tap+calmag+ph6.0
Soak and stir over a few hours so the coco is completely saturated.

2. Sift out the "fines" and drain off / mash out most liquid.

3. RO or Tap + calmag + 400ppm veg nutes + Ph 6.0

4. Soak it for 24, stir and mix occasionally.

5. Drain it, mash it, start growing in it. (Dont let it dry out before using. Keep it moist.)

Lots of methods, don't jump on any one method. Try and do what makes sense to you.

OK boys and girls. Thank you for all your help. The plague has stopped around mid leave and the tops of the nugs are remaining nice and green after bringing the PH back up from 5.3 to around 5.8 now. When i was just using canna A + B i never had any problems with the plants. I think using canna BOOST swings the PH down slowly and i was too confident it wasnt a ph problem due to feeding it exactly 5.8 each time. Also i've been watering it more often. After all this now i remember reading about it when i first started, that your PH can swing and you need to measure the run-off pH every water.

secondly, instead of using canna boost i have taken someones advice and will try out just A+B and MOAB mother of all blooms beginning and end of flower instead of canna boost

I will take your advice also by keeping it wet. In the beginning i was keeping it really wet and i had less problems, but i figured letting it get dry like normal dirt (not too dry) just on the top layer was good.

thanks again for the tips

I have 2.5 gal pots in pot bases. Can i water to runoff and let that water sit in those bases or do i have to siphon that shit off? The plants wick the water up pretty fast so it's not root rot.
