Kessil Club 2015

AC is a dehumidifier. I don't think you will need both. Just make sure you have a good drain for the AC or you could end up with a big puddle. I know some people who use the AC water for watering.

Just did some super cropping last night. A bit more tomorrow. Just top dressed with EWC and a GRD/Neem mix. Tossing em under the Kessils next week!

I have a new use for the Kessil H150. Side light! In a recent grow, I used a red and blue H150 aimed horizontally inwards toward plant from the sides (12" from light to plant). Meanwhile two H350's (deep purple and magenta) were sususpended over tops about 24" The side light of the H150's definitley made the lower flowers bigger, denser, and ripen at he exact same rate as the top colas. I am going to remedicate now

Tossed a couple of the 150s into the veg tent at the sides. I've been slacking hard on finishing the other room, but I'll have em going by Sunday. They've been responding very well to the bending, starting to bush out a lot (which I needed, they were looking pretty sparse). Got the 730nm flood, really excited to see how it does, although without a baseline to compare off of, I can't really measure the results.

My first observation with the new growth - The plants closest to the Kessils are developing much tighter nodal spacing than the old growth under just the T5. Liking the multi-point lighting, it's really helping develop the newly exposed due to bending areas.

Since I harvested already, I decided to put the Kessils to work on a couple tomato plants I had on my deck. Going to see how much fruit I can get indoors, as opposed to animals nibbling on my fruits outside. When I turned the lights on, a lizard jumped out of the plant he hitched a ride in on!

I bet those 350s do a bang up job!

The H350's do a bang up job. I have one deep purple and one magenta. I use the H150's as boosters or side light. I hope to complete mu setup by adding 2 more H350's soon.

Yeah, my flower will be 4 350 Magentas and 6 150s along the side. Really interested to see how it turns out.

So can anyone in the "Kessil Club" actually produce pics of plants grown exclusively under the Kessil product with even "good" results?
I was very interested in these at one time but the high price and every so called test disappearing with no final results sure made me skeptical.
Even the test lab deal on Kessil's own site seems to have been abandoned?

My flower room will be exclusively Kessil. I'll be posting it as soon as I flip them this weekend.

High price? Not sure I follow. I paid less than 250 per H350, and 90 per H150. Not a terrible price, especially when you look at other fixtures out there.

I'm talking original retail prices, not mark down blowout or second hand.

What kessil configuration would you recommend in a 5x5?

Also, define "good" results? Is there a certain yield you're setting as a baseline to determine? How about how it tests out, THC/CBD wise? Denseness or trichome content?

Well, retail price on EVERYTHING EVER is always 2-3x what it actually cost the shop, so I never ever pay full retail price for anything (major). Not really fair, ya know? I got those from GH brand spankin new in the box with free shipping, and so I just figured that to be the online price.

As for a 5x5, I'll answer that Sunday, when I get them hung and have a feel for what the C150 Spectral Carrier (basically a power supply and spacer for 4 H350s) covers. My gut says it's about a 4x4 solid. I'm a huge proponent of side lighting, so I'd do that, +4 H150s to spread out, maybe get an extra red booster in there. I dunno. I'll be posting here often to give you an idea of how this SFV will develop under these.

Although, truth be told, I wanted to do DIY CXA3070 lights, but have had some funding issues, and had to go with pre-assembled tech to ease the concerns of my investor. I'm not huge on their R:B only lights, but I'm seeing decent response from the 150s I tossed in the veg tent with the T5 (the tips that I bent that are now growing up are showing much tighter nodal spacing on all new growth near them).

We'll see. They may end up as just awesome side lights. They may be able to produce what I'm hoping to. Unfortunately, I have so many variables in this first run, I don't know what to expect, so take whatever comes of it for what it's worth.

When I added the Deep Purple it made a huge difference in growth.

For a 5x5 area I would go with the spinner. I am working on a way to mount the lights so that they can be pointed in a desired direction from the spinner.

I would need to modify my room to allow me to grow big plants and not have a humidity problem. So I flower outside. When I finish the Screen Room for my veggies and fruit, I will be building a lab for the Kessil grow. I have a stainless steel enclosure that I will either use as a hempy or I might try and enclose a plant with CO2 and a Kessil.

I have seen enough tests with LEDs to know that they work. In Veg the Kessils are amazing so I am confident that with the right mix and the right coverage, I can grow some sticky, stinky, dankness.

Hey mo.. FYI I probably will not have the resources to pop that light open till we move into the house we buy. My stuff is all over the place and all the extra gear is packed up in bins. Wife wants to drop in on you when we go down to lax to send off her mom and our daughter. I cant wait to have the crew over for a get together. I hope they accept our offer today! OMG Im so excited I could levitate.

I appreciate it. We have an offer in on one right now. My mom was an escrow officer, appraiser, and commercial real estate sales before getting sick. She has been a huge help. Our agent is an old friend of hers. Our agent is married to a contractor. LOL. We straight up didnt even go into several of them we were going to see just from neighborhood alone and ran away from some others once inside!

Current offer is on a 2000+ sqft single story 3bedroom build by a contractor for himself. It has an awesome view off a deck on a sloped bluff. has great developed yards and work areas.
