Killing Mites with ISO

So about a month back somebody on this forum was asking for help with mites and everybody was adding their 2 cents and one of the members mentioned using isopropnyl (if that was you hands up). Anyway I had never heard of it but it made sense so I googled it and sure enough it's a well known use for all kinds of skin mites, mites on mattresses and mites on plants. Well I just happen to have a bunch of mothers I've been abusing because I'm getting rid of them and they were heavily infested. My first thought was that I was going to burn them all to hell.

1 litter bottle of 99%
1 litter bottle of water

I sprayed the shit out of them. When I was done I almost caught myself lighting a joint and thought, "Well damn, that's one stupid way to die." Anyway I've treated them 3 times now and I can say that the plants have no damage whatsoever and the mite population is under control. Only a few stragglers moving slow. Plan on doing three more weeks.

Moving forward I think I will pick up some rosemary essential oil to add 10 drops to the above volume and add some dish detergent.

Anyway it looks legit and I almost want to spray a few buds that are about 2 weeks off without mites just to see what damage if any it does to the buds. I'm guessing this mite (might) be good in flower as well.

I would also like to ask anybody out there who has mites right now to test it out and give us feedback.

I have sprayed with iso and soap mixture but generally do it when lights out and let it dry up. Then spray them with fresh water. I have had issues with too strong of a spray and hurting the plant. Did it to my outdoor plants in my greenhouse and almost killed 2 of them but now they are way bigger than the ones i didnt spray. I just ordered this product called Jakes all in one. It is suppose to be good for a bunch of things. Plan on using it for mites and white mold whenever i get home from vaca

Not that strong but was definitely something to.do with spraying it cause its happrned twice. Once indoors and once outdoors and i have gotten away with it probably a half dozen times with no problems

I would never do that, as trichomes will get damaged if any ratio of alcohol comes in contact with them. I mean, think about this... (about the only thing that can clean trimming shears after only a good half hour of trimming some frosty buds is ISO), so just imagine what spraying that stuff on a budding plant will do to those trichomes! Really, if you want to kill any pest or fungi when your plants are in flower use what they use to defends their selves, (IAA, Indole-3-acetic acid) from pest or fungi but for some reason some cannabis plants don't make enough it on their own anymore!

Thanks for the suggestion DaFreak I've had mites for 9 months now and have just emptied my room, i will definitely try the iso.

I've used iso before, but always wondered how much I was melting the trichomes. Until I get more information, I'll probably not use it in later stages of flowering.

I’m willing to test it on a bud or two, but for veg I am loving it. It won’t replace my regular stuff but will be added for sure
