Hello I'm a resident of Ukraine (it is one of the former republics of USSR). I should like to ask the people of U.S.A.: Have you heard that we have importunate network marketing agents who walk from home to home and sell a Vacs Kirby for $ 5000? Is it true that the cost of this vacuum cleaner in the U.S. 1000 dollars? If this is true, they are fraudsters. What is your opinion about this. Sorry for bad English. :)

You are right they are complete frauds, but its not just there, even in US, Kirby is just another word for scam. Yes the vac is very high quality, and lasts forever, but their real price is around $500, but sell here for as much as $1200. All depends on how much the salesperson thinks they can screw you for.

Yotsisit, Ukranian huh? Sweet. Kirby vacuums have been around forever in the states. They are like the Cadillac or Mercedes (since your from eastern Europe) of vacuums. The cost of the vacuum is cheap compared to how much it costs to maintain the operator. If you know what I mean.

They are cetainly built well. I'd notably compare it to the Sherman Tank of vacuum cleaners. I don't buy into the hype that it's any better of a vaccuum though. They're demonstrations are clearly rigged (they often use it without a bag) and adding the bag reduces the power by some 15-20%. For the kind of money they want I'd buy several Dysons, not much better in my opinion.

I bought into the Kirby scam and am not proud of it. They originally quoted us around $2000 but got it down to around $1200. They are a quality product but I hated the damn thing! It's heavy, the attachments aren't on board so you have to do a bunch of shit to put them on. They are a pain in the ass and who the fuck wants to deal with bags? Not me. I contacted Kirby to demand a refund or return the damn thing. They wouldn't even entertain the idea. Kirby doesn't do refunds because they only use independent distributors (a very clever way to not have to deal with customer service). I told them I was very unhappy with it and would not reccomend them to anyone. I tried contacting the company who sold it to me and they were nowhere to be found. My question is this; if it is in fact such a good product why doesn't Kirby stand behind it? Why don't they have stores? Yeah they have a bunch of cool gizmos that go with it but I honestly have no use for a saw attachment since I already have like 8 saws! The bags are really expensive and hard to find as well. Needless to say we didn't keep it very long before we went out and bought some cheapo vacuum which I still have to this day and it works great! Fuck Kirby!!!!!:cuss:
