did you tell him you don't think he should have the right to sit at the same lunch counter as a white, pedo?

No, but had it come up I would have told him he had the right to control his own property and his own body, but not the property or body of other people.

It's ironic that you malign me, given that your position disrespects individual freedom , just like slavery does.

you would have told him he had to go eat at another lunch counter, segregationist bitch.

We built great big things, made ungodly technological advances, explored the universe, cured diseases, and we cultivated the world's greatest artists and the world's greatest economy.
We reached for the stars, acted like men. We aspired to intelligence. We didn't belittle it. It didn't make us feel inferior.
We didn't identify ourselves by who we voted for in the last election and we didn't... we didn't scare so easy.
Huh.

but you nonetheless are without a doubt a member of the worst period generation period ever period.

We're seventh in literacy,
27th in math
22nd in science,

And you guys are not helping at all.
..and as our government involvment in education grows...those numbers will continue to plummet. Seems we were much better before we had a federal department of education...we also didnt have a student loan bubble the size of the housing bubble.

The Public arm of Govt. involvement or the Corp. arm of Govt. involvement?

The Corp arm would have you believe that intensity is the subject.
The Public arm would teach you that intensity is a unit of measurement such as when you slam your head with a light bulb, one could then convey the amount of (obvious) intensity to others.

Although I like @ttystikk vertical grows. Which would work great with the inexpensive low wattage fixtures.

But for the most part most of the "experts" on this site are absolutely clueless. I cannot believe the level of the blind leading the blind here.
Worse yet, the idiocy here is self reinforcing. The ignorant quite literally band together to shout down the educated.

This applies to far more than growing here; tribalism in spite of the facts is rampant across every topic in the forum.

It's an excellent indicator of a dying civilisation.

"Light bulb" is a pretty broad term there, Dr. Science
A high-intensity UV BULB will fuck your eyes up pronto
he's going to reply with some dumb and facile face saving way. Just watch. The narcissist can't stand being made into a fool.

LOL

He said something nice to you.

Is this where you call it "honey"? Or perhaps, sweetie?

:o
I kind of knew that, thanks anyhow for that piece of information. Truth is seeing anyone can set the rules here, I can stare are any UV light bulb and it will not damage my eyes. Yes, yes I can. 1000W UVA, stare at it all day. No problem, no eye damage.

Just don't turn it on. I never said what kind of light bulb. I never said the light bulb would even be turned on. Oh so you assumed it would be turned on? Why would you assume UV? If I'm the one staring at a light bulb I sure the fuck ain't gonna pick a UV bulb.

So just what was your point in pointing that out? Just to day something? Anything? Just to see your words in electronic ink? Do you figure if you keep saying things you may at some time sound intelligent? Not yet, keep trying.

Sincerely,
Dr. Science MS
Mad Scientist (mad as in crazy, not angry)

PS the guy was still wrong. HPS is not superior to LED because of brightness. This all started because I questioned brightness and intensity when comparing HPS to another light source.

I still say the photons coming out of an HPS bulb are the same as photons that come out of an LED and they travel at the same speed, have the same penetration. The only difference I can think of is the cost of the photons. Then there HPS photons cost a shit load of money compared to an LED photon. If you want the same photomorphogenesis with from an LED as an HPS, then use the same spectrum. Unless you are ashamed of your small dick, then hide that fact by using a big ass election guzzling HPS. Or generate 75% of photons with a 4000K light source and 25% deep red and you will have pretty much the same spectrum as an HPS. Don't use that cool white, blue shit, light. Plants don't like too many blue photons for photosynthesis, too much energy per photon. Oh yeah, brightness is not an SI unit. So when telling me an HPS and an LED or different becasue of the brightness, please be more specific. I prefer PPFD irradiance when when talking about light for plants. Ever wonder why there is a D in PPFD? Density is not even a surface geometry, it's volumetric. Maybe PPFB? Flux Brightness. Why not? :blsmoke:

Yep. Wasted space, but I was running simulations and had time to kill. I come to look at the pictures. That's how I came across this thread, looking for the pictures of your vertical grow.

Do you know of anyone that has tried sandwiching the plants between glass? I was thinking if possible that would be a way to improve uniformity without having to adjust the distance between the light and plant. I have found that about 4"-5" is the ideal distance between the light and canopy when seven 4' strips are used in a 4x4 grow area. An inch more or less is not a good. Turns out increasing distance does not improve uniformity between 4" and 14". It does improve above 14" but is not as uniform as at 4". And the amount of electric needed at 4" is about 1% of that need at 1 meter.
